Overall a positive experience but wouldn’t return due to the noise levels.
Pros:

Breakfasr was good the room was comfy and clean however the sound proofing between rooms was very poor.

Cons:

Soundproofing was an issue very noisy that upset our sleeping patterns overall a positive experience

Lovely B&B in quiet location
Pros:

Able to stay with our granddaughter in a 3 bed family room after a wedding nearby. Very clean lots of toiletries and refreshments provided. Good choice for breakfast.

Pros:

Breakfast was spot on, location was very handy🙂

Cons:

Would have been nice to have sky sports available to watch the game, instead of wondering where to watch it.

Comfortable, good value with a delicious breakfast
Pros:

We were able to check in at 11am for a small reasonable charge which was very much appreciated. The bed was so comfortable and the breakfast was delicious.

Cons:

It would have been good to have the heating turned on prior to our arrival as it was very chilly. It was very cosy once it had warmed up.

Lovely old coaching inn providing first rate accommodation, food and drink
Pros:

We needed an overnight whilst travelling up to Edinburgh and the Beresford Arms was perfect, good parking, lovely village, had an excellent meal in the restaurant and a proper Northumberland Breakfast in the morning. Would have been good to have longer in Whalton but time was tight

Definitely recommend the Beresford Arms
Pros:

The Beresford Arms was a great place to stay. I was a delayed arrival (arrived at 8:20 pm) and the owner arranged for me to have a hot meal waiting for me on my arrival despite their kitchen closing at 7:45pm. This was very much appreciated and on top of that the food was excellent, The atmosphere of the establishment was warm and friendly. Excellent all round

Pros:

The rooms were clean and comfortable with excellent tea and coffee making facilities. The bathroom was spotless and the shower excellent.We had a good breakfast with plenty of choices on the menu to choose from. 10/10.
