Praia da Lota Resort – Hotel & Apartments

The resort is in a very quiet area. They could have a small shop for essentials. There was a pool bar but unfortunately it was closed. The cleaners were hit and miss not their fault, but meant we had no cleaning and the bin not emptied. There was no facility to empty the bin ourselves. The rooms were dated and could do with some sprucing up.
No information on what was around. Handy for the beach.

Ligger godt i forhold til stille strand. Er man ikke i bil, er der et stykke vej til shopping, Aldi eller Lidle.

Hotel tranquilo y agradable, con acceso directo a la playa. Personal amable. Instalaciones completas, pero algo antiguas. La limpieza del apartamento era mejorable, y en el apartamento no había ningún detalle de los que te hacen la estancia más agradable: pastilla lavavajillas, bayeta, sal...

Apartamentos com bastante equipamento, camas confortáveis.Atendimento muito prestável e simpático.Grande proximidade (a pé) à praia. Local a repetir!

Positive points - Quiet get away from it all place. Bike hire on site which we used for 4 days to get about. Approx. 1 hour to cycle to Tavira (at a quick pace) and about 45 minutes to cycle to Monte Gordo. Detoured off to visit small villages on route back. Enjoyed the Tennis Court. This resort is not for folk that like shopping as we did not come across any shops with the exception of the 2 Supermarkets in Manta Rota. Glad we chose apartments and not hotel as the one meal we had at the hotel was not great. There is a nice restaurant overlooking the beach at Manta Rota.
Negative points- Sun Loungers around the piscina/pool at the apartments were very dirty so bring some disinfectant wipes if you wish to use them. Also a big pagan stone idol on stairs of hotel which we were not happy with and when we went to do Zumba we were taken down to a room with another 2 pagan idol shrines causing us to leave promptly and the Zumba teacher to lose his payment. We did not tolerate pagan idolatory being promoted at the hotel.

Location to the beach is awesome. Rooms are dated but clean and quite large. Kitchen waa stocked well enough. We just needed a place for a one night stay. Was great for what we needed

Bagno cieco, energia elettrica si stacca ogni volta che togli la chiave da apposito alloggiamento, accessori cucina scarsi.

A very dated/old apartment needs updating, plus bedding smelt

The reception is in the back of the building to the left. We were able to check in early and there was a minimum of paperwork. The staff were friendly and accommodating. They changed our room at our request. Our apartment was sunny and very clean. Quite comfortable really and fully equipped. The cleaning staff came often and were also friendly. WiFi was a available in the common areas, although we use our own hot spot for security reasons. The location is between Manta Rota and Altura, making it a short walk to either place. It is right on the beach and we were given a key to the gate to accessthe beach. Overall it was very nice and quiet. A great place to relax.

Buena limpieza y personal agradable aunque algo escaso. Muy buen ubicado en la playa. Lugar ideal para relajarse en estas fechas.

La verdad que todo estupendo, la relación calidad precio muy buena, volvería otra vez, gracias un saludo.

APPARTEMENT BIEN SITUE

Ett familjärt boende med mkt trevlig personal. Rent och välstädat i lägenheten varje dag. Beläget i ett mkt lugnt område och två minuters promenad till en underbar sandstrand. Kan dock inte förstå att man inte har bäddmadrasser och påslakan någonstans i Portugal! Bland annat för att hålla en hygien! Nu finns ju IKEA inom kort avstånd så man kunde förnya och komplettera porslin och bestick. Diskmaskinen kändes onödig eftersom porslin och bestick var ganska få! Kaffekokaren var utbytt mot vattenkokare vilket ändrade förutsättningarna för kaffedrickning något.
Vi saknade WiFi på rummen men om man satte sig i lobbyn var wifi:n helt ok där!
