Pros:

Nice new room with a mix of modern and traditional touches. Staff was helpful and friendly. We got a free room upgrade because it was our aniversary, a nice suprise. Parking was convenient and right in front of the Hotel. Bus takes you to the lake in 10min. Nice breakfast with excellent food and many à la carte choices. We had dinner at the restaurant, the food was very good and staff friendly.

Cons:

I always find it strange not being able to speak German with Staff in a German-speaking part of the country. Restaurant staff did not understand German at all, so we had to do it all in English - which is fine, but still odd. Weighters did not seem to be trained well eighter. It was our aniversary, they could have sold us much more if they would have asked (no drinks before and after the meal were offered).

Pros:

Fantastisch ontbijt en we kregen een gratis update van de kamer. Het personeel is super vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Het bezoek aan de sauna aan de overkant vd straat was heerlijk (bij het verblijf inbegrepen).

es war in dieser Zeit etwas warm im Zimmer und Kühlung durch Fenster öffnen brauchte leider keinen Erfolg, das ist aber nicht ein Versäumnis des Hotels sondern äußere Einflüsse..

Pros:

The food is unreal and there's a genuinely friendly atmosphere from everyone in the hotel.
All the staff are friendly attentive and passionate about looking after their visitors. Special thanks to the wonderful chief - who puts so much love into both his daily menu and what he sends out to the table, the quality and flavor was off the charts. We also got to know Cristina and Lottie who were lovely and made sure we were OK.
We had a room with a great view and everything was very clean. The beds were very comfortable and we slept well with no disturbances.
My only suggestion for improvement is that the decor is a little dated & it needs modernisation. Then I think you would have something very nique and wonderful and worthy of 5*.
All in all we had a very lovely stay in San Gian Hotel
