A friend and I stayed at The Saint New Orleans 4/8-4/13/26. The room was booked under her name (Jill O'Meara), however we split the cost of the room. It was my friend's birthday. We booked The Saint in New Orleans because we live in Key West and love The Saint Hotel here. We were unaware that The Saint New Orleans is no longer owned by the same person that owns The Saint Key West. Our room was nice but there were several problems with the service. Upon check in, we were initially told the cost of the stay would be twice as much as was quoted. A different front desk representative had to fix the error. They told us that the bar closed at 11:00 PM. After a long day of travel, we dropped our bags in the room and came down for a drink. The bartender said he had already called last call. It was 10:30 PM. Housekeeping was also an issue. The glasses in the room were never changed out so we washed them ourselves in the bathroom sink. One day the towels were taken but not replaced. We had to call for fresh towels to be brought up. Bath mats were brought up instead of towels. Nothing was cleaned, only the beds made. My most significant complaint is with the "room service". We ended up calling it "Door Dash Room Service". When I placed the order, I told them it was for my friend's birthday. I ordered a bottle of champagne and breakfast that totaled $138.31. A $6.00 delivery fee, $33.19 service charge and tax were added. The total cost was $191.68. The person that delivered the food never stepped into the room. He handed me a paper shopping bag from his cart. The food was packaged in plastic to go containers. The champagne was in an ice bucket. He handed that to me from the hallway also. No plates, real silverware, cloth napkins, or champagne flutes were provided. We had to call the desk for plates, place settings and glasses. He did not leave us the cart, so we had to eat at the desk with only 1 chair. The food was excellent. However, the service and presentation were terrible. The following day, I notified the manager. She said that it was the Marriott's standard room service. She said she would take off the service charge. She ended up taking off $6.00. There were other minor issues with service. I would not stay at The Saint in New Orleans again, nor will I recommend it to anyone else. I will also be sharing this review on other platforms.
Well located boutique hotel on Canal Street, but our stay needs some context beyond the beautiful photos on the first glance.
My Bonvoy Gold Elite status wasn't recognized at check-in and we were told no rooms were available for an upgrade. About 30 minutes after settling into our room on the 3rd floor, another couple used their key to walk right into our room. Turns out it had been double-assigned and my actual reservation was for a room on the 8th floor. The other guest happened to share my last name, so this looks like a name-matching mix-up rather than a random error, which is a little concerning from a security standpoint (especially after the front desk checked my ID).
The room itself felt like lipstick on a pig - modern and sleek on the surface, but the details fell apart on closer look. The caulking around the shower was poorly done, and the glass shower door kept slamming into the glass shield. There was a hair on the comforter. The AC, when running, was loud and blasted freezing cold air, and the toilet tank had a constant water-refilling sound during the entire stay.
We are thankful that Jasmine at the front desk was fantastic and did her best to improve our experience. She was genuinely apologetic, took full ownership even though the mix-up wasn't her fault, and tried hard to fix it on the spot with a room switch and drink vouchers.
I wouldn’t recommend staying here.
The room was really small.
Great location.
No complaints here.
The staff and the rooms!
Can't think of anything!
The incidental fee is EXTREMELY HIGH and cut into my available funds to have a good time with.
The hotel was very nice and the location was good. Most places were in walking distance.

The location was very convenient to the heart of New Orleans! The staff were very friendly and the valet workers were nice and reliable. I left a pair of shoes in the car and the valet worker went and got them out of the car for me. The hotel provided us with complimentary shortbread biscuits and water upon arrival! It was a great experience and super clean! They have a restaurant and bar down stairs as well.
At first we did not know we had to pay for parking. It was not blankly stated you had to search to see. We only stayed one night and parking was $56.
