Our visit was great, the only exception was the speaker outside our room was loud and we could hear the loud music through the closed windows of room 6. Our stay was for 2 nights and the 2nd night was great as the music wasn’t playing,

I would firstly like to say the decor in the restaurant has been renovated to a high standard and makes you feel very cosy. The food however did not meet my expectations. I booked online for an afternoon sitting as a Birthday treat for myself and my Daughter. Having gone on reviews I was looking forward to an edible and satisfying meal. I was hesitant to try the Carvery on a Monday knowing Sunday would have been the best time to try it from fresh. I wanted to serve myself but was told the chef was happy to do this, unfortunately the vegetables were slightly soggy and the meat was at the end of the joint so slightly dry. The Pizza I feel was far worse very stodgy and cheaply made. Because it was a celebration I did not want to cause a scene but I was very disappointed with the meal and no acknowledgement that i was celebrating.
I therefore would give this a low score food wise.

The bathroom was too cold the windows in the bathroom had blue roll put in the gaps of the windows must of been because it was that drafty,it was that cold I could have ashower as I was freezing just sitting on the toilet,we had paid for deluxe but it wasn't.

We were at the front of hotel ...constant road noise all night long .......so that spoilt it as we are both light sleepers
Great location for bars and restersants and shops .Very goodbreakfast,Great helpfull staff.I was very impressed with the man on reception that looked after an elderly couple who were checking in by changing thier room to ground floor and carried thier bags to the room.Also the morning we left the young lady on reception was very friendly and helpfull.And the staff at breakfast also fantastic aswell as the bar staff.

The bed was uncomfortable, as the mattress was very soft.
Great stay, reception staff friendly, bed comfy, breakfast was very tasty made even more special by Joao Tome. He was very friendly and welcoming.
This is our 3rd stay at The Bold Hotel, staff are great and helpful, the bar downstairs is lovely and a great atmosphere, The room is always clean on arrival.

Being in our 70s found it a bit of a trek having to go up several flights of stairs to our room but because it was a free upgrade and a listed building preventing them from installing a lift we accepted that
The staff were all very friendly and helpful. In the restaurant they offered a good variety of food which was of high quality.
Limited car parking and having to pay £5 for parking for one night. It pays to upgrade your room as my room was a bit small.
Location was very good. The hotel is lovely , nice decor . Staff were helpful
No lift. I didn't find the bed or pillows comfortable. When I received an email about upgrading , I did but didn't get the room I was expecting , I thought that was misleading .
