Staff really friendly lovely place to stay would definitely recommend and return
Nothing
The room is very comfortable, the staff friendly and we enjoy being able to visit the pub while being detached from it.
Location, great food, free parking, friendly efficient staff. My sister & I stayed here in April 2026, before attending a wedding at The Lawns. We had ordered a cab from a local cab company but it let us down at the last minute and we were in danger of missing the wedding itself. However, Charlotte, manager of the hotel offered to drive us to the venue and we got there in time. Charlotte went above & beyond in her offer to drive us there. She is amazing and we can’t thank her enough. She is a true credit to the company. Thank you Charlotte.
Our room was quite dark and out-dated. The beds were too soft.
Set in a lovely rural part of Rochford.
Peaceful and relaxing. Food was very tasty amd all staff extremely friendly and warm 😀
A bit cold but was a heater
Nice friendly staff
Food and drinks great
Looks a nice pub
Quiet nice in nature a bit
Amazing!! Will 100% be coming again, after a long 3 hour drive it made all the difference, staff were great, food and environment was exceptional
It was a lovely stay...well done to the 2 ladies that looked after us for.the weekend 😀
We stayed in THE accessible room over Easter. Unfortunately when we arrived back Sunday evening at 9,45 the pub was closed when we found there was a problem with the room lock and key. We looked around for someone to help but everything was dark and quiet. After trying to get in realised it wasn't going to work. I phoned the number and pressed 4 for guest services only to have the call rejected seven times. We then tried the police but luckily a member of staff came along and was eventually able to get us in.
We are thoroughly disgusted, not by the fact the lock failed as things happen, but by the fact there was no adequate provision for problems. \It was very cold, took probably about 45 mins, I am disabled so all in all not a great experience.
Such a gem, perfect place to stay a couple of days and especially if you have a dog. Lovely walks starting at the pub. I travelled into Leigh on Sea which is a short drive away. Had breakfast one day, was really good and made to order. Will definitely be back.
Nothing I can think of.
