Relaxing break
Pros:

Room was clean, lots of hot water, restaurant food was good value for money and well- cooked. Staff very cheerful and helpful, and a special thank you to Charlotte for going the extra mile and making our stay very pleasant. Liked being able to take the dog into the bar and restaurant.

Cons:

Could use some chairs in the room for reading or relaxing watching tv, as the bed is very high. As a dog-friendly venue it lacks any bins to dispose of little bags.

Good value, great location and the staff were brilliant.
Pros:

Great location as good for moving around the south of Essex we wanted to and breakfast was fantastic. Food overall was great value for money and good quality.

Cons:

Breakfast was only available from 10am Monday to Thursday which was a bit of a surprise, worth the wait though.

It's our "go to" place for a short stay near Southend and will remain so.
Pros:

The Cherry Tree is excellent value for money as a base. The staff, especially Charlotte were extremely helpful and gave us the room we requested and a nice touch was more milk for the room. An unexpected bonus was the Porsche meet in the car park on the first morning of our stay.

Excellent. We would certainly stay here again.
Pros:

We arrived earlier than we expected so were able to enjoy a beautifully cooked evening meal. The service and food were excellent. Our room was spotless, very comfortable bed. After a very quiet night's sleep, we decided to have a light breakfast as we were still full from our meal the night before! All the staff were very friendly and helpful.
