The Cubana Ballina

The room was clean with a modern upgrade and trendy colour scheme. Onsite parking was a bit tight. Door closer into rooms meant you have to remember to take your key pass even if you are just unpacking the car or you will be locked out of your room. The pool area and common kitchen was a good feature.

Seems to have been recently refurbished. Really nice premises.

This is a cute little motel with a fun feel. Very tidy and together with new appliances and furniture and a low key joyful rainbow theme. We only stayed for one night and didn’t spend much time but the bed was comfy and the shower hot and powerful - exactly what was needed.
It’s on a busy road but the noise wasn’t too bad and there’s little transfer of noise between rooms Overall a pleasant stopover with a pop of personality

Great room, nice retro vibe, very clean and great pool area. Grassed area with Barbecue and landscaping really nice and tropical.

STUNNING! This is a sanctuary and a time warp done BEAUTIFULLY! Staff awesome, rooms awesome, pool smaller and more dated than the photo shows but PERFECTLY retro dated. It’s on the edge of town about a 5min drive so it means you get AWAY from people to relax, but easy to get straight back in there. Beds and pillows were SUPERB and the shared lounge and kitchen was AMAZING! I could live here! Daily routine: Wake up and dip in the pool. Shower and head to The Wharf Restaurant for breakfast (5mins away) then into the day! LOVED it!

We had a great stay at The Cubana. The rooms were extremely clean and well maintained and the shower was AMAZING! The staff were so helpful and courteous. Nothing was a bother and they sorted out an issue we had immediately (thank you Jinesh!!) We enjoyed walking into town too, so we could enjoy a drink without having to worry.
I would definitely recommend staying here.

The motel was spotless and the bed and pillows were very comfy. Loved it was a bit quirky and had a great 60's vibe with the Barbie photos

Great room, loved the pool, didn’t love being on a main road but the room was pretty quiet.

Its recently renovated and in pristine condition. Presents well and in good position. I was able to walk for dinner options.
It was quiet and staff were very welcoming

We loved staying here for our little weekend getaway from Brisbane! Basic facilities as described when booking which suited us well, great location, lovely staff. Beds comfortable, room clean. We loved the bathroom products, they smelled fantastic. We hope to be back again :)

Was everything we needed in a motel. Had guest washing machine and dryer that came in handy as we had a lot of wet weather

As far as motels go, this place is FABULOUS! The designer-owner has thought of everything. The hairdryer, kettle, toaster, pillow, everything, was really high quality. She's a smart lady. I'm a fan. Thanks to Jack, Cindy and Sharn, it's a great stay.

One of the cleanest properties I’ve ever stayed in the cleaners here do an exceptional job. The communal kitchen and laundry is a great asset to this place only negative I would have is the knives were very blunt. Overall I was extremely happy with this place :)
