A perfect stay (facilities, location, value) whilst visiting my son (lives in Long Island City)!
Pros:

Room - comfortable bed; well spec'd bathroom/shower; funky style.
Reception/Foyer - friendly staff (because my room wasn't ready for approx. 20 mins, I was given a free breakfast voucher for my 4 day stay.
Bar/Breakfast room - didn't use bar at night; breakfast buffet was excellent - plenty of choice of fresh produce and cooked items.

Pros:

The hotel and room was really nice. I especially appreciated the hardwood floor without the usual carpets. Little fridge and kettle in the room. Neighborhood felt homey and safe, great choice of restaurants in walking distance and fast public transport connections nearby.

Cons:

Walls are thin but that seems to be normal in all US hotels.

Loved staying at Box House! It has a lively, upbeat atmosphere, GREAT staff, rooms very attractive.
Pros:

*I liked the way my room was decorated - the blue medallion over the bed, the tied back curtains, the venetian blinds were wood-colored and easy to use, the windows were very clean (I like to look out the window).
*As a tea drinker who brings my own tea bags when I travel, I REALLY APPRECIATED that there was a dedicated water kettle (not used for coffee - you cannot get rid of the coffee taste for water heated in pot that also makes coffee).

*l so loved the staff - they are GREAT at customer service! You each get an A+++!! I am an older woman and was travelling on my own - although was staying at Box House to visit my two sons who live in Brooklyn.
* I so very much appreciated the attentiveness and helpfulness of the desk staff and also the cleaning staff, as one of the cleaning team cheerfully helped me carry my luggage and extra items down to the lobby as my room was very far from the elevator.

Wonderful hotel in a great area
Pros:

It was our second time staying here, as we really enjoyed the hotel. It is in a nice and safe location, close to the supermarket. The room was spacious and comfortable and the staff is always there to assist.

Cons:

Maybe the mattress of the bed is a bit too soft, but everything else was great.

Loved the Box House hotel!
Pros:

We stayed here to attend a family wedding nearby. Our rooms were perfect. We each had unique decor and artwork! The staff were amazing and answered questions about transportation choices, restaurants and more. The desk staff, including Denisse couldn't have been more helpful. Vitali was kind and helpful every day. We all felt so comfortable and happy for such a great fun long weekend.

Perfect and quirky hotel in an interesting and convenient location
Pros:

One of the best hotels I've ever stayed in! Nice rooms with interesting decor, good views from the city view balconies, and good facilities all round. The location is great too, Greenpoint is quiet but has lots of cafes, restaurants etc and it's an easy walk over the bridge to Long Island City and the subway then only a few stops into Manhattan. Can't fault it!

My new favourite NY hotel. It took me a while to fall in love with Pulaski Bridge. But I did.
Pros:

The room was great and the bed and pillows exceptional.

Cons:

The Macs in the lobby don’t seem to work. A small IT matter.
