Not much,bother than it was close for us when moving house
The hotel needs gutting. It is so dated, none decor matches, it was likecwalking into grandmas house! The bed was horrendous, and the mattress certainly needed changing. No cleaning was fine over the 2 days we were there. Trying to get teabags for the room was just nonsense, although we asked many times. The reception staff, certainly the male was not good, never there!
I was so looking forward to a swim, but when I went after 7.30 the pool was full of young kids and their toys. So disappointing!
Staff were nice and were helpful, we got our rooms together which was good
The cleanliness was very low in standard, kettle was broken and took a few hours to replace, a very dated room, grandson had a squeaky bed and hardly slept, paid extra to use the pool and sauna, ladies changing room was very smelly and not very clean, the photos of the pool area is not what you get, looks good on the photos very misleading, we stayed 2 nights in stead of 4 and I had hoped to only stay the one night but was confused by the reception, unfortunately I can not give much of a feedback
A very spacious and comfortable room with large window, expansive comfortable feeling. Comfy bed, slept really well. Friendly staff. Close to the pub and restaurant, great drinks, but not rowdy after hours. 15% off for hotel guests! Lots of homely offerings like books and DVDs. Good parking.
I wish I'd had time to go to the gym/leisure centre.

BED BUGS!
This was one of the most distressing hotel experiences I have ever had. Based on my experience, I strongly recommend that travellers DO NOT STAY at this property.
I woke up at around 3am covered in bites and discovered what appeared to be bed bugs in my room. I photographed the insects, took pictures of the more than 40 bites across my body, and even kept one of the bugs trapped to show the hotel staff. Despite this, the hotel later claimed they had found only a single bed bug.
After the incident, I searched online and found other reviews mentioning bed bugs, which left me concerned that this may not have been an isolated occurrence.
The consequences were significant. I had to abandon my trip, return home early, professionally steam clean my belongings, and miss two days of an event I had paid over £1,000 to attend. The hotel refunded the room but refused to compensate for the emergency transport costs, cleaning expenses, or the event days I was unable to attend as a direct result of the incident.
I sincerely do not recommend staying here. No guest should have to experience waking up covered in bites, worrying about bringing bed bugs home, and then feeling that the full extent of the situation has not been properly acknowledged.

No water out of hot tap or shower, no reply from reception.
Whole place needs a bit of TLC
They did make us free small breakfast as compensation for no hot water.
