70's atmosphere, beach & pool, nice breakfast. The hotel grounds are nice and well maintained. I appreciated the "museum" & 70's run down atmosphere with spookiness - even though it may surprise as well. Architecture freaks may well like the building.
I also appreciated the fact that restaurants & convenience stores are available in the village within walking distance.
The hotel location over the beach is just perfect. Same for the infinity pool. But that’s it.
If you have TATTOOS, DO NOT BOOK/STAY AT THIS HOTEL! It’s forbidden at the pools AND at the beach.
Also, the hotel was built in 1975 and no renewal since then. It’s falling apart. Everything looks old and bad maintained. The bedroom smells humidity. All the services are extremely over priced for what this hotel is. The staff struggles with english…
We stayed in the best room with sea view and access to privilege Club. Without this, you have to pay sun umbrellas, beach towels and everything else.
The buffet restaurant is very limited and all meals are always the same.
Additionally, they do not give any tattoo cover stickers. If you have tattoos, you need to pay for them and it’s also not cheap.
It is right in the beach ! Lots of restaurants and grocery near by!
I did not like that we did not have access to use a microwave ( hotel staff would take your food and warm it up). Also did not like that as a paying guest of the hotel charged 3000yen per day for umbrella chairs on the beach!
Beautiful property with incredible amenities and lovely lounge bar with live music!
The property was very nice a bit old but overall well organized
The little private club with drinks and snacks - the restaurant
The timetable for the activities everything stops at 5pm the quality is not good tennis court is completely destroyed and they still make you pay a good amount of money for it the gym is included but in bad shape as well
The views were stunning, the pools were large and not crowded, and the staff were lovely. The room itself was also great. I would absolutely recommend visiting Onna, but I wouldn’t recommend this specific hotel due to their tattoo policy and limited facility hours.
The booking said nothing about their no tattoo policy. This policy is normal for public baths, but unexpected for the ocean, which made an otherwise relaxing activity—spending time on the beach—somewhat stress inducing. Additionally, you cannot swim in the ocean outside of the hours of 9:00-5:00, and the pools and recreation center close similarly early.
It felt more so like a tourist trap than many resorts I have stayed at. Everything—food, water sports, massages, etc.—was offered at a very high premium. Not a deal breaker, just something to note.
I had a great time in Okinawa, and the hotel’s views were stunning, but I would not recommend staying at this hotel, especially not for the price point. For those considering, perhaps stay at another resort and visit Moon Beach for the day.
