I will not recommend it. Washroom was very inconvenient and very small.
Pretty basic, the room was a decent size only thing is the bathroom is really small
Good service. Noise evening time regarding religions of my neighborhoods, its mean praying from speakers every hours.
When I paid with my MC the machine gave me options of shekels or home currency. I paid in CDN $ The desk man got mad and said I had to pay in shekels. I said okay cancel the charge. He said I don’t know how. You cancel at home pay again in shekels. I refused and he sat down in a huff. I think he gave us the crappiest room in the house. Ac made a racket in the night. We turned it off and then ice fell out onto the table for the next hour. Night clerk wasn’t helpful. I don’t think he spoke any English. I asked about shuttle to airport and was told taxi.
Good humble place to stay, humble area of Jerusalem cannot expect more for the area, but convenient to visit the know sites of Jerusalem, heavy traffic if you are driving, they use the horn a lot.
A fair price for what you received. Very basic. Bed has no box spring and mattress very hard. Bathroom outdated. Propretor very friendly and helpful. Accross from hereod,s gate at haty land.
Very sweet owner. Took me under his wing and made sure i well taken care of. Comfortable and relaxing stay
I am so glad I decided to stay here. The customer service was great, breakfast was good, and the location is A . Short walk from bus station, right across from Damascus Gate, in the heart of the Old City. I slept soundly, ate well, and felt totally safe as a solo traveler. Thank you Rivoli Hotel!
Staff and owner were very helpful and cooperative
I always enjoy staying at the Rivoli. Well located, affordable, excellent service.
Great team. Always pleasant. Had a really good time and staff are very friendly and always helpful when needing anything. Perfect distance from the Al Aqsa Masjid and not far from the market. Also situated next to many brilliant places to eat. Would definitely recommend for anyone who likes a family vibe hotel with a good team who are always happy to help.
Super nice staff and very nice hotel 1 minute walk from The old city.
Nice safe area.
The man who helped was very kind. It's not the most modern hotel but the friendship is great. Breakfast ok and location is good.
Good
It was good the staff were very friendly and quite helpful.
I would go there again
Owner wanted cash not credit. Some negotiations needed
If you are looking for a low budget hotel in Jerusalem then this is one of the best options for you.The hotel services are looked after by Mr Hussam Rayan, who as per his words has been at this hotel for last over fifteen years and is available for 24 hours of the day, because he sleeps in the TV lounge area of the hotel.
We use to see Mr Nader for a short period of time every day.
Thank You Mr Hussam for looking after us
We picked this place because the other hotel was fully-booked for our last night in Jerusalem, and we were taking a bus to the Israel/Jordan boarder on the next morning. This place is next to the bus station. This is rather a hostel than a hotel, except having separate rooms with private bath room. The carpet in the hotel room was dirty. The wall painting was peeled off with mold everywhere. The bed was very simple (not near comfortable) with very simple bedding. Bath room is very small which is hard to have two persons in at the same time. The shower curtain is so light that it flips while taking shower.
The hotel dose not have elevator, so guests need to carry suitcases upstairs. The hotel staff does not offer help at all. As a matter of fact, we tried to borrow a umbrella from the staff at the front desk to go out for a dinner. The staff just said "no" with an umbrella hanging next to him.
The hotel is located in a noisy street with its back to a cemetery. I think posting this hotel at its website only hurts the credibility of hotels.com.
It was the worst hotel I checked in in my whole life. The floors was ultra dirty. I was scared to even sit on their bed. the only thing positive was the reception. the guy was super nice. I had to call hotels.com at 11pm to switch me to another hotel and they were great at it. they switched me to a near by hotel much cleaner.
The hotel is close to the old Jerusalem city. It is old but comfortable. The buffet breakfast is nice. The staff are helpful. Good for the price I paid.
