My family and I stayed here for 5 nights i find the hotel very neat and cleaned its very near to lulu supermarket which is very convenient, staffs are friendly specially housekeepers, the only thing i think they must improved is the play area and other facilities like gym, need to add more varieties in their food menu but over all this hotel is a nice place to stay.
Good 2 bedroom apartment close to old souq area. Near Lulu for self catering.
The staff at Crystal Suites have been extremely helpful and accommodating to our requests. They are very helpful and nice, and they go out of their way to fulfill your needs.
The room was very clean upon arrival, and was maintained clean daily by housekeeping.
We only used their free-breakfast one day during our stay, as the other days we were either busy or out since early in the morning.
The hotel is conveniently located next to Lulu Supermarket, so you can do some basic shopping, and a petrol station is less than 2minutes away by car, in addition to other supermarkets and restaurants..
I recommend this hotel to someone especially someone who's looking for a suite with a kitchenette facility, like our case.
Room is big and clean, but need maintenance. Some lights did not work. Window is very dirty, should not open curtains.
There is a small playground in the center of the hotel. It is good for small children. Restaurant is good.
The hotel is good. Rooms are decent but are well maintained. We had stayed over in the room with our cousins & friends after attending a function in the banquet hall in the same hotel. We had 2 bedrooms, a living room, kitchen & 2 bathrooms.
Issues with A/C first night, staff worked quickly to get us into a new room. Location is not very convenient, but reasonably priced.
The hotel itself was nice and the suite very comfortable. The condition was not perfect, my bathroom floor kept getting wet, don't know why. The staff is friendly and the service is good. The area is not pretty and far from all tourist attractions but at least there is a supermarket and some restaurants in walking distance.
It is an OK hotel to stay with family on a tight budget. We got a 2 bedroom room for a very decent price, especially since we stayed between Christmas to New Year. Location is right next to a major hypermarket so you can buy groceries and cook in the kitchenette. Free wifi is provided but it doesn't work in the entrance lobby. Beds are OK, not very great. For some strange reason, we got dirty water in the bathroom sink for the first two days. The hotel claims room service is offered but we never managed to get the food and had to troop up to the restaurant to eat there itself.
Clean and spacious room with comfortable bed and fully functional kitchen area, as described by other guests. Very wide shower tray and useful little fridge. Staff is very friendly and polite and any request is satisfied within a few minutes at any time of the day and night! Pretty little park nearby and pets stores with many beautiful birds on display.
The only criticism I have is that the window on our room was small compared to the size of the room. A larger window would allow in more sunlight and fresh air, reducing the need for lights and air conditioning.
No view from windows. Old equipment, some lights were broken. Wifi was working good.
The property is very near to the city ,its very calm and peaceful ,the view from the corridor is very beautiful especially in the sky as its open to sky and we can have a treat to our eyes, “Nice large rooms and the room comes with its own mini kitchen - if one does need a use of that. Very well kept. Very good for business travel & Family travel . all the facilities are available. Staffs are helpful and friendly.” Indian cuisine is a perfect blend ,i would not suggest to have Chinese in this restaurant .overall its a place to leisure and have a good time .
Very clean and well kept accommodation. The food served was very good. The staff very friendly and available 24x7. Hot water available all day. WiFi is free. The bed was very comfortable and all the rooms have a dining area and a kitchenette. Very convenient as it helped us prepare food for our child.
The location Wadi Kabir was not very clean. There was sewerage waste over flowing on road in front of Crystal suites.
The hotel is very close to the main highways connecting various cities of Oman. The Ruwi area also has many reasonably priced restaurants which give the choice to eat out.
The breakfast served in the hotel very yummy and all the items were freshly prepared.
The hotel is well maintained and located just 200 mts away from Lulu Mall, Wadi Kabir. The staff at the hotel are polite and cooperate. Most of them are from Kerala, India. The food served in Kohinoor restaurant in the hotel is good. Lots of South Indian delicacies are available in case someone wishes to try. The complimentary breakfast too is pretty elaborate. As the name suggests, there are suites of all sizes depending upon budget and requirements. For 1 or 2 pax a room set is sufficient. It has a small kitchenette with induction heater, sandwich maker, tea maker, microwave, etc. Electric iron, ironing board and electronic safe are also provided in the rooms. International travellers are advised to keep international travel adapters handy because the electric sockets in Oman may not match their chargers and devices (especially in case of Indian travellers). For any requirements Lulu Mall in closeby so not much to worry about. Keeping in view the price and the amenities the hotel is a good value for money and pleasant to stay in.
Have been here 3rd time, the hotel is very well maintained, very clean, courteous staff & prompt service, good amenities, nice location, decent rooms, food also delicious. Very well maintained, Keep it up guys!
Very helpful staff. Clean, modern and spacious rooms
Not much more to say. Should be a perfect place to use as a "basecamp" to visit Oman. And, on paper, should be great with a restaurant (average food) a playground (damaged, nearly dangerous) and located close to the highway and to a shopping center for groceries. But noisy as hell with the parties, the dogs outside and the trucks... Just no.
The hotel itself was very nice and the staff incredibly helpful.
Any request we had was immediately satisfied.
We felt like at home.
That 's why we came back here again after being in Nizwa.
The room was big enough with all the comforts( apart from some appliances that you have to ask)and very clean.
They come every morning to clean, change the towels and the houskeeping staff is very kind and efficient.
Also the location is perfect then there is Lulu hypermarket and another shop close to the hotel.
I would raccomand it,also to the family with kids.
I was with my 17 months old daughter and was perfect for us
Stayed 3 days to attend a conference at Al Bustan Palace hotel
As a family, we booked an appartment for 3 nights (2 +1) while touring Oman.
The hotel is located in wadi Kabir, not far away by car from Matrah (the old Mascat). But the place is a bit dodgy and very noisy. There's a water tank in an alley right beside the hotel and all day and all night long you have trucks supplying (or emptying) the tanks. It's very very very noisy. Dogs are barking at the back of the hotel. And since the hotel is a popular place for events and functions, you have party noise until late at night. On our second night there we had to ask to change room in the middle of the night since this was unbearable (and we were with a 2 yo kid).
Apartment itself was ok, but the floor was soooo dirty! We rented an apartment with it's own kitchen and had to ask for supply of plates, glasses and cuttelery (!!!!). Nothing was there at first. Same thing with toilet rolls and bath towels (only 2 for 4 persons!). In the first room, shower was not working properly and in the second room, toilet got stuck.
It's really a shame because this hotel could be a really nice place if better maintained and taken care of. All rooms open to a courtyard with tables and children swings and games. It could be lovely.
Restaurant is ok. Indian food. Breakfast is really average, not to say disappointing. You can get food at the nearby Lulu too.
Considering our week long trip in Oman, when booking hotels, tis one was the most expensive and should have been the best one. It appeared it was the worst.
Stayed here for a week with my family. Hotel was impressive, comfortable rooms, friendly staff, located in Wadi Kabir the hotel has some beautiful scenic mountain views. Overall, staff were polite and helpful. Had some issues with the leakage in the bathroom, which was sorted out within a day. The WiFi is pretty weak, something the hotel should improve. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone planning to visit Muscat for the first time, as I really enjoyed my stay here with family.
