Fantastic Douro Valley Resort with first class service. Well Done!
Pros:

Beautiful location, wonderful views, attentive staff, exceptional breakfast, natural architecture outside and a mix of modern and nature vibe inside.

Cons:

This place does not have a separate bar/ lounge. There is really not a good place to go for before or after dinner drinks. You can get drinks in the same restraint they serve breakfast but it feels more like a cafeteria than a lounge. They have several rooms that would make a great bar/lounge.

Apesar de não ser a nossa primeira estadia, foi muito positivo constatar que o hotel continua a evidenciar elevados padrões ao nível das infraestruturas, manutenção e renovação dos espaços, mantendo a qualidade e o cuidado que sempre o distinguiram.

O restaurante Raiva continua a surpreender pela excelência da sua proposta gastronómica e pela consistência da experiência proporcionada.

A localização é verdadeiramente privilegiada, enquadrada por uma paisagem de rara beleza, onde o ambiente envolvente convida ao descanso e à contemplação. E o Douro... permanece simplesmente mágico, tornando cada estadia memorável.

Restaurante Terra

A oferta gastronómica ao jantar revelou qualidade aceitável e consistência, embora sem um elemento distintivo que a coloque ao nível da restante experiência proporcionada pelo hotel.

Relativamente ao pequeno-almoço, consideramos existir margem de melhoria, em particular na diversidade da oferta quente incluída. A disponibilização de vários pratos quentes apenas mediante suplemento não nos parece totalmente alinhada com o posicionamento e categoria do hotel, sobretudo quando analisada numa perspetiva de relação qualidade-preço.

Verificámos igualmente que a equipa afeta ao restaurante aparenta ser insuficiente para o volume de hóspedes presente, tanto ao pequeno-almoço como ao jantar. Em diversos momentos, tal refletiu-se em tempos de espera um pouco prolongados e numa menor capacidade de acompanhamento personalizado.

Por fim, a expansão da unidade hoteleira constitui um sinal positivo da sua procura e sucesso. Contudo, importa assegurar que esse crescimento não comprometa a atenção ao detalhe, a proximidade no serviço e o nível de personalização que tradicionalmente diferenciam a experiência proporcionada pelo hotel.

Pros:

Beautiful modern hotel. Wonderful stuff and amazing views across the Duoro. Large comfortable rooms. We particularly enjoyed the Raiva restaurant. Plenty of sun loungers at pool.

Cons:

Food was overall great but a bit over priced, particularly for lunch at the pool bar. Also worth keeping in mind that where the hotel is on the hillside to get to pool at top is 80+ steps or quite a slow lift (didn’t detract from our stay but worth keeping in mind if you have a pram).
