My mother and I had a wonderful stay at the Caro Hotel in Valencia in the days before the Fallas Festival 2026. The hotel is in a great location, just a short walk from the main cathedral and our room was nicely designed and well cleaned. But the true standout here was the staff! We were so grateful to get advice and help with reservations from so many members of the Caro team who were always kind, positive and ready to help. A special thank you to Pauline, Ines, and Giovanna! Even before we arrived, they helped us find the best restaurants and book táxis for my mother with limited mobility. A true gem in Valencia and will be back soon! 🙏 🙏 🙏
We are a couple from Toronto Canada. We stayed for only one night before a cruise. We loved this hotel. It’s right in the old historic area and staff are very friendly and welcoming. The hotel was very well equipped and breakfast was the highlight. Amazing.
Wonderful location with very attentive and knowledgeable staff!
We loved our stay. The staff were fantastic and gave us some great local tips, the room was really special, and the breakfasts with your lovely breakfast lady were the favourite part of our stay. Four nights weren't enough! We'd love to return.
Caro Hotel is not just a hotel - it is a true work of art. From its extraordinary architecture to the thoughtful design of each room, every detail feels intentional and inspiring. At the same time, it offers something even rarer: it truly feels like a home to anyone who stays there.
I am in absolute awe of this experience. The quality of the hotel is exceptional, truly a once-in-a-lifetime stay, and the same can be said about the service. The staff embody the highest level of kindness, while also being incredibly helpful, attentive, and genuinely caring.
I cannot imagine a better place to stay when visiting Valencia. I recommend it to anyone who wants to fall in love with their hotel just as much as they fall in love with this beautiful city.
Nicely located in the old town. Super boutique: only 26 rooms. Lots of cachet among the remnants of previous buildings in the same spot. Perfect superior room. Very reasonable rate (during winter). Warm, friendly, client-focused service. Parking available. Hope to go back some day.
We have just returned from a short break in Valencia, stayed here in the old town.
The hotel and staff are amazing, professional and caring. We included breakfast in our stay which was lovely, good selection along with a menu for hot dishes cooked to order.
It was my husband's birthday whilst we stayed and I think every member of staff wished him a happy birthday, along with a nice treat sent to the room 😊.
Thankyou for everything.
A beautiful boutique hotel. Truly 5 star. The service is exceptional. The quality of food and drinks is excellent. The location is perfect, positioned in a quiet street but just 5 minutes walk to the cathedral. I booked direct. They set up an extra bed as there was three of us. Free teas and coffees all day long. Highly recommend.
The experience was super. The locations is simply fantastic. The Hotel is unique, historical, modern and quaint. Diego, Ines and Alejandro were exceptional. The location is in the heart of Valencia within walking distance to their colorful neighborhoods and historic sites.
Caro Hotel was perfect. Great walkable location. Beautiful room. Huge bath. The staff were incredible and attentive. Little added details made it even more special. We would highly recommend staying here to anyone.
Another perfect stay in this beautiful hotel. The staff are so welcoming and friendly. Breakfast staff remembering your tea preference and offering a large selection of breakfast items including cooked to order dishes.
The hotel itself is steeped in history with Roman walls and artifac everywhere. There is such a peaceful ambiance.
Location is amazing . 5 mins walk to the Cathedral and many Squares where you will find tapas bars, coffee shops and Restuarants.
This is an excellent hotel in the heart of the old town in Valencia, very close to the cathedral, yet on a small, quiet street. The hotel is set in an historic palace that is perfectly restored and somehow blends very modern, sleek interior with the historic building. The staff is exceptional, the hotel is super clean and beautiful and the rooms are large-ours had a terrace looking over the bar/courtyard. Reserve parking in the hotel’s own garage if driving. The hotel has an excellent restaurant: Xanglot (please see separate review).
We were only here for two days but were made to feel like we were family.
The staff are warm and welcoming , especially Alejandro.
The hotel itself is beautiful ,immaculate and in a quiet but central location , with many great small touches.
Would definitely recommend.
Fantastic hotel, with fantastic staff. This was a birthday trip and we received complementary cava and beer on arrival, which made the weekend very special. The room was large and luxurious. I would have preferred tea and coffee facilities in the room, albeit they were free from room service as was the minibar. An excellent stay and we have picked which room we want for our next stay.
Excellent service. Friendly staff. Rooms were nice and clean. Convinient location with walking distance to everything in old town.
Brilliant hotel, in the perfect location in the ‘old city’, but just far enough away from the hustle & bustle. 5 min walk to the Cathedral & a number of piazzas, as well as the old riverbed park, to walk off all the delicious Spanish food & wine.. The staff were exceptional & our room was wonderful…with centuries old exposed beams & a large round bath!! Coffee was delivered to our room each morning, at the most, 5mins after ordering. The history of the building is unbelievable & there are wonderful sections of the original exposed stone walls on display. Do yourself a favour & dine in one night at the exceptional on site restaurant.. Xanglot. We chose the ‘Brot’ menu & it was absolutely superb. I highly recommend The Caro as the place to stay in Valencia.
The location, design and comfort of the hotel is just top notch, but what really makes this hotel stand apart is the enthusiasm and professionalism of their staff, especially Diego who immediately ushered us to a welcome drink when we arrived, introduced the city sights and the best paella on the map, helped us reschedule our lunch appointment and helped with our luggage, taxis etc. I wished we could have stayed longer. We will definitely be back when we are in Valencia again!
P/S - do try Xanglot, the Michelin Guide restaurant attached to the hotel.
Lovely time at the Caro Hotel. Great location minutes from many of the sights in the old town. The staff were so friendly and helpful at all times, helping getting the car to the hotel, advising on restaurants and sights, magical service at breakfast and all round happy people. Room was in the attic so was full of charm and elegance. There will be more airy rooms with views out but this was quirky and exquisitely done. Room cleaned beautifully daily and the rest of the hotel is sharp. Will definitely come back. Valencia is a charming city with so many things to do and great people. We did try and go out of the centre to experience other areas, well worth it.
Stepping into the ancient city of Valencia felt like entering a postcard—blue skies, gentle sea breeze, and a calm vibe that instantly puts you in vacation mode. It’s not crowded, and the whole place just breathes relaxation.
I don’t usually rave about hotel rooms, but this one deserves a shoutout. It’s housed in a beautifully restored historic building, and the best part? Whether I was showering, sleeping, or waking up, I had a stunning ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ view right from the room. Just a heads-up: mind the sloped ceiling or you’ll bump your head!
What really elevated the experience were the thoughtful extras: a free snack bar and a wide selection of drinks—including Hong Kong-style milk tea, which I never expected to find in Spain! The staff were incredibly attentive. When the room’s safe box didn’t work, one of them came quickly to help. Though it couldn’t be fixed, they offered a secure solution by storing my valuables at the reception, complete with a proper security check process.
Michelin meal ( located in the hotel and recommended meals ) totally over rate and very poor quality. Menu did not match with meals.
