Nice hotel 2 years ago but now shabby already
Pros:

I always stay at the Veegle when I visit the area because it is so handy to ZjGsU that I visit frequently. I stayed there for the first time two or three years ago when it was new, and it was a very good hotel then, maybe would have given it 4 stars. Now, however, the shabby workmanship is showing. The wallpaper is peeling off everywhere, inside the rooms and in the hallways. The walls between bathrooms and bedrooms are black - either wet or moldy or maybe both? I suspect they did no waterproofing in the bathroom walls. Everything has the feel that shortcuts were taken wherever possible! On the positive side, more staff now speaks good English than before. The breakfast is good, especially the noodle and egg stations, and you can now even get an espresso. The gym used to be in a modified hotel room but now it is downstairs (just ask for it - the signage still leads you to the old location where you will find absolutely nothing). It is a bit roomier and has a few more things than before. The rooms are large and bed is comfortable. The price is right. I wish they had general lighting in the rooms on top of the bedside and desk and other wall-side lamps as it is very dark in the room. There are many restaurants and stores just outside the hotel.

I wouldn't stay there again
Pros:

The room was ok, although it really was very dark. Most of the lights didn't work. Considering the very inconvenient location, I really expected to get a way better room for that price. But no, it was just as smelly and as average as a hotel in downtown Hangzhou at that same price range. The area is quite dusty, full of construction sites, so unless you are doing business around there, I really don't recommend this hotel.

A/C not always on in common area. Gym..forget it.
Pros:

I stayed here in summer for 4 days. The location is good for my visit. Overall it's good hotel for the price. My only complains are the A/C in common area, including breakfast area, are not always on. The gym equipment is out of maintenance and rusted.
