Pros:

Location: many cafes and restaurants nearby
Staff: very friendly

Cons:

We could hear the road noise as our room facing the road.

Beautiful boutique hotel in the heart of Georgetown
Pros:

Loved the location of this boutique hotel. You could walk everywhere. Each room is different which adds to the charm, love the architecture. Beds were comfortable, pillows were a little flat. Room was nice and big. Loved the complimentary dessert each evening!
Staff was exceptional. Would stay again.

Cons:

The only downside was our room was right next to the guest terrace, every time someone opened and closed that door, it made our door vibrate...as well, it could get quite noisy if there were people socializing out there. Thankfully that was only one night during our stay. If you want total quiet I would ask not to stay in that room.

Pros:

員工服務非常好，都很熱情。房間非常漂亮，但因為是古蹟，所以隔音會稍差。飯店位置很好，大部分有名的餐廳走路10分鐘內就會到。
很感謝他們幫我們解決了飯店詐騙問題。
冷氣非常涼快，並且客房整理的非常乾淨，每日都會附上小點心（很好吃！）

1.洗澡水壓小
2.半夜道路施工，非常吵。但並非住宿的問題。

Gepflegtes, schönes Hotel mit mit sehr herzlichen Mitarbeiter
Pros:

Kolonialstil, gepflegt mit schönem Bad. Täglich etwas Süsses auf das Zimmer erhalten. Sehr gutes Frühstück !

Cons:

Leider war die Klimaanlage in unsem Zimmer genau über dem Bett. Wenn man empfindlich ist, bleibt einem nur die Wahl, diese in der Nacht abzustellen.

Très bon séjour dans un hôtel de charme
Pros:

Très bon emplacement, hôtel de charme à la très belle décoration. Accueil chaleureux et sympathique, les employés sont très aidants, petits déjeuners variés, copieux et délicieux. C’était notre deuxième fois et nous recommandons chaleureusement!

La connexion aux chaînes de télévision est compliquée!

Kumar working on the reception made the whole stay brilliant. His open personality and helpfulness was an absolute boon in comparison to our experience in our previous hotel.

De foto’s op Booking, en het gedacht in een mooie propere kolonial hotel te verblijven.

Cons:

Toen we de kamer betraden roken we beneden een muffe vochtige geur. Wij hadden de loft dus sliepen we boven daar was een putjes stank riool geur. Toen we na een nacht slapen dit melde aan de receptie stuurde ze een team naar boven die dit ging oplossen met een spuitbus no way!!!! De manager kwam er dan bij maar met die kerel kom je ook niets aanvangen. We hadden 4 dagen geboekt en zijn na dag twee vertrokken naar een mooi hotel we hebben van Booking direct onze centen terug gekregen waarvoor dank maar op onze 500 RM deposit moeten wij nog altijd wachten. Ontbijt is inbegrepen en aan de kaart ik kreeg een oude opgewarmde pannenkoek en voor de kerel in het restaurant konden we niet snel genoeg buiten zijn. Conclusie een stinkend kot veel te duur en een slecht management. Blijf er weg !!

Excellent location for a lovely short stay in Penang

Lovely colonial hotel in the middle of town. Excellent welcome by the reception, lots of valuable advises. Each room is decorated in its own style, with lots of attention to details and style.

Cons:

Funny to have to walk around barefoot but why not.

Schönes Hotel in authentischem Kolonialstil
Pros:

Historisches, stilvoll erhaltenes Haus an zentraler Lage. Die Gastgeber haben uns sehr herzlich empfangen und wir haben uns im Haus sehr wohlgefühlt. Die kleinen Aufmerksamkeiten im Kühlschrank fanden wir sehr nett. Das à la carte Frühstück war sehr gut. Das Essen im italienischen Restaurant war ausgezeichnet und die Bedienung sehr aufmerksam.

Cons:

Wir hatten das kleinste Zimmer gebucht und empfanden es etwas gar beengend. Die Klimaanlage liess sich schlecht regulieren und blies auf den Kopf. Der alternative Ventilator war viel zu laut.

With a multitude of options in Georgetown, I wouldn’t stay here again
Pros:

The location was good

Cons:

Our room AC and fan didn’t work, then the owner suggested we use a small fan til it was fixed the next day.

We asked to move rooms, were moved to a room with external AC unit. However I think the unit was near a drain. There was a strange smell in our room the whole stay. The two European staff (assuming the owners/managers) were a little difficult to deal with, came across condescending. We didn’t bother saying anything about the smell to avoid dealing with them, and ordered an air freshener on grab instead. The local staff were lovely though.

No lift only stairs, hallways and common areas weren’t air conditioned. Very much felt like they were cutting costs under the guise of being eco-friendly.

Ein super tolles Hotel mitten in Downtown
Pros:

Der Stil und Charme des Hauses sind phänomenal. Die Inhaber und die Angestellten waren super freundlich . Unser Zimmer (Opium) war riesengroß mit tollem Bad. Wir bekamen jeden Tag frisches Wasser, Eistee, Milch, Kaffee und Tee sowie Kuchen aufs Zimmer. Rundum perfekt

Pros:

Wonderful hotel in a very central position filled with beauty.
The staff probably the most engaging I have met in my travels.. ever helpful and sublime.. you know who you are!
I was fortunate enough to meet the new owners and I wish them all the very best into the future.. They have such a wonderful crew around them ,
Loved the daily iced tea and chats.

Cons:

We had the cheapest of the rooms and on occasion was a little noisy.
