Warm and comfortable hotel, pleasant staff, excellent location, great breakfast.
Pros:

This was our first visit to Berlin and the guidebooks advised us to stay in Berlin Mitte, but we liked the look of this hotel. We definitely made the right choice. It lies just west of the large Tiergarten Park which stretches to the Brandenburg Gate. It is located in a building from the late 19th/early 20th century with a marble hall and beautiful plaster ceilings in the entrance, dining room and sitting room. The hotel dining room looks out over the river. The rooms were warm and comfortable and the bathroom was quite new. The breakfast was excellent, with lots of choice. The staff were always pleasant and helpful. The location was excellent. The hotel is only a short walk (5 mins) from the Tiergarten S Bahn station and in two stops, about 6 minutes, you are right in the centre of Berlin. We have already recommended this hotel to friends and would definitely stay here again on a future visit. A tip, we bought the Berlin Welcome Card for public transport, which also gives you a 20% reduction on some tourist attractions. If you are visiting lots of museums it is also worth buying the Berlin Museums Card.

Wer ein ruhiges Plätzchen sucht, ist hier perfekt aufgehoben.
Pros:

Das Frühstück ist vielseitig, frisch und lecker. Die Zimmer haben den Charme des Hauses, es ist eben ein Altbau. Die Lage war für mich perfekt, aber eben auch sehr ruhig. Die S-Bahn ist aber in der Nähe.

Cons:

Es war alles OK, nur das die Dusche war nicht gut gereinigt. Das habe ich vor Ort aber auch mitgeteilt
