Close to a wedding venue
No reason ,needed a few changes of decoration
Room was spacious and modern , very clean . Food in the restaurant was lovely and good value . Staff friendly .
The outside looks tired paint peeling off the exterior. It doesn’t stare that it is on a very busy road . We were awake from 4 am , the double glazing doesn’t block any of the noise out felt like a window was open alright it wasn’t .
Nothing I started ringing there at 8pm as I wasn’t getting there till 10-15 got no answer at all after numerous phone calls when I did get there at 10:25 the whole place was in darkness and locked up is a disgrace for them to advertise on booking.com. I did not get in.

Some rooms face the main road so can be noisy if you are not used to it.
Very smart room. Lovely bar area and food. Loved the Whippy ice cream desserts.
Good breakfast and good location
Room was above kitchen and very, very noisy. Staff shouting and extremely noisy extractor fan. Steep stairs. No grab rail in shower.

Huge room and TV , excellent food
Being charged twice for the same night and the owner not taking any steps to rectify the situation.

One of the worst stays I've had for years anywhere.
No shower or hot water for any of the residents. The owner had known about that for at the very least 24hrs. Some residents had not had a shower for 2 mornings. "Plumber was on its way but not quite yet".
Service levels were genuinely frighteningly poor. Plenty of sorry but zero urgency or any effort to solve any issues. The owner must be one horrendous individual to deal with a a customer and staff to sound like beaten dogs. (Owner sent a message confirming pauling attitude to service - zero response to his rebut).
Food was completely average and far too seasoned. Almost trying to hide the weakness. Breakfast menu was particularly uninspiring.
Coffee machine was switched on perfectly to match the end of the Service. No effort again.
Their options on their phone system either do not work and simply hang up or no-one picks up the phone.
Any hospitality professional would have a field day with this catastrophic establishment and the owner should probably go back and do what they did before and leave this pub/hotel to actual professionals.
Best avoided if you don't want to spoil your break in the area.

Friendly staff, lovely breakfast and nice room with comfortable beds.
When we arrived I thought the place looked tired, it needs a paint on the outside and the stairway up to rooms was shabby and needs a new carpet and decoration.
Stayed here several times before. Staff are lovely, friendly and helpful. Location excellent, food (breakfast only) very good. Rooms very nice and clean with lovely en suite shower room and very comfortable beds.
Unfortunately, there was a problem at the property which meant we had no hot water in the shower for the first day or so, but they worked hard to rectify the issue.
Bed was comfortable room size great
Shower was a no go hardly any water came out when you used hot water
