Very nice hotel, great food, comfortable rooms and exceptional staff.
Pros:

Everything, particularly the staff who were all incredibly helpful and went out of their way to provide an excellent service.

Very disappointed
Pros:

There was no hot water.
Reported to reception. Told run the tap for a long time! It eventually ran Luke warm.
The shower was not fit for purpose. I could not make it work other than cold.
After 12 hours of travel- we were unable to freshen up before going out for the evening.
My husband (strong hands) managed to twist it.
There was no working extraction fan in the tiny en-suite.
The tv didn’t work. Reported to reception. Advised to re-programme it ourselves. Still only had 1 channel - old foreign football match. Reception said it would be fixed the next day- it wasn’t.

Comfortable bed and a hearty breakfast
Pros:

Needed a comfortable bed for the night after the wedding and hearty breakfast the next day and the hotel delivered in both counts. Also allows an early check in so we could get ready for the wedding. Pleased!

Lovely independent hotel, just one suggestion.
Pros:

My partner and I stayed here to attend the classic Ford show, this hotel was in an ideal location, quiet with a comfortable “standard room”. Great value with breakfast included. We ate an evening meal both nights (and I would recommend trying the steak pie with mash and veg 😋). Breakfast was tasty too, in a buffet style.

I have only one criticism. Please ask the cleaning staff to look up! There are cobwebs in most places, not huge Halloween style and did not spoil our stay but it is something that is easy rectified.
