We had such a lovely stay and truly felt at home from the moment we arrived. The staff were warm, welcoming, and incredibly friendly. We especially loved the beautiful décor and the hotel’s proximity to the pub, which gave the whole place such a cosy, authentic feel and made it easy to enjoy a more immersive city experience.
The breakfast was another highlight — with both an à la carte and continental selection included, there was plenty of choice, and everything we tried was really delicious. Overall, a wonderful stay with a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Only one pillow on my bed, I prefer two but that’s more my preference. It’s not a game changer. I’d still stay here again.
The location of the hotel was perfect, and the decor was colourful and characterful 🥰 Great choices for breakfast aswell!
The aircon unit in our room was broken and as it was on the third floor and was hot outside, it did get very hot in the room. However, as soon as the weather cooled down it was perfect.
It was a central location.
The room was damp, it was not cleaned thoroughly. The mattress was far too soft and the pillows need replacing. The robes in the wardrobe were soaking wet and had to be dried. Two sets of stairs, one spiral to access our room. The sink in the bathroom you could not use properly as there was a shelf directly above it, making tooth cleaning impossible! Only two coffee pods for us. Extremely small room we could hardly walk around with no storage. Noisy noisy noisy!!! Pub opposite which was loud until very late. Absolutely not worth the money!!!

Sink was blocked on arrival. Bathroom door did not latch closed. Room was on the second floor requiring four flights of stairs to access.
Central location
Our bedroom window was jammed open and noisy seagulls squawked all night, disturbing our sleep. When we told staff in the morning about the faulty window they offered no apology or attempt to fix the window. We were also told in advance that we could leave luggage securely at the hotel before check in, but when we dropped off luggage we were told to leave it next to the open front door. When we asked for it to be moved to somewhere secure, staff refused to move it until after breakfast was finished.

The staff were really helpful, the hotel was ideally positioned, decorated beautifully, the breakfasts were perfect with many choices and cooked to order, along with fresh fruit, yoghurts, cereals etc. and there were bars and a restaurant internally should you want them. Overall, a lovely, character hotel close to every attraction.
No downside
This hotel is in the perfect location for seeing the sites. Good price and lovely staff.
