Overall we had a great stay
Pros:

The hotel was in a great location, the room was a nice size and comfortable, we particularly liked the addition of the two chairs. Breakfast was limited but tasty and staff were very helpful.

Cons:

The TV in the room constantly changed channel itself whilst trying to watch it, which was very annoying.
The menu for dinner was a bit limited for our liking.

Memorable and definately a place I would like to return to with my partner.
Pros:

The hotel was very welcoming, clean and above our expectation, our rooms wer clean and adequately serviced with coffee, tea and sundry items.

Cons:

More selection of eggs available on the hot plate as we didnt realise we could order seperately as the main egg dish was scrambled, on asking the next day for poached I and a colleague was served scrambled and when the poached eventually arrived they were over cooked. This was my only disapointment for the whole stay.

All the staff were thoroughly professional, pleasant and responsive to all requests.
Building of historical interest and modernised where necessary. Extensive car parking.
Breakfast freshly cooked or continental style both very good. Bedroom spacious and comfortable. Bathroom ok and good to see hand grab rails to assist those of us in need of such support.

Cons:

Evening meal was disappointing considering the reputation. Lamb cutlets were inadequately rendered and rather dry.

Pros:

The staff were efficient and polite. The hotel was clean and beautifully furnished. The beds were very comfortable. The rooms were warm and well equipped. I forgot my phone charging cable and reception loaned me one. The carpark was safe and plentiful. The gardens were gorgeous with a pond and fountain and 2 ducks swimming on it. We didn't eat there because of the timing. We will definitely return. Lovely stay

Pros:

Great hotel. Very well run. Staff very welcoming and friendly. Good service throughout.

Cons:

Mattress far too hard. Not at all comfortable resulting in extremely poor sleep for both nights.
