Hotel Ascot

I was a bit worried after reading some of the reviews but
We stayed in room 106 the hotel is a traditional Italian hotel
Rooms are basic but all that you need
The breakfast was plentiful with lots of choice
And for 50 euros you can have a 3 course meal in the evening
The bar prices are very reasonable
And the staff are very helpful
A big shout out to the lady who cleans the rooms
fresh towels are put out everyday
As the hotel is on the main road ... there is traffic noise .. but that's expected
But I have got to say we have had a brilliant stay and well worth the money we paid
If you are touring in the area this hotel is the ideal place to stay

If we return to sorrento we would definitely stay at this hotel again

We stayed for two weeks in August and it was fabulous. The staff were great and Rachel, one of the sisters was so lovely and helpful.
The rooms were just what we needed and very clean and tidy, great pool and the food was lovely. A brilliant family run hotel, would go again in a pinch...

We throughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely hotel! Our Air B and B cancelled on us at the last minute so we pleasantly found this gem! Close to everything! A+ all around!

Can tell hotel is a little older but our room was very clean. Mattresses were worn and could use replacing but other than that, hotel was in a good location. Great assortment for breakfast.

We had road noise coming into the room all day and night.
The breakfast was OK only issue was the bacon and eggs were cold all the time. There were not heaters placed under the serving tray to keep them warm.

Hotel is really clean , staff conscientious and non intrusive, very relaxed atmosphere, good breakfast.

Clean spacious rooms with balcony in excellent location. Could walk to restaurants, even just 100m to a lovely spa. Excellent full buffet breakfast with everything you could want. Staff were all lovely and helpful. Would stay there again. Thanks!

We had a fantastic stay at the Ascott Hotel in Sorrento. The staff couldn’t do enough for us and were incredibly family friendly – they absolutely adored our 2-year-old and treated him with such kindness and attention. Breakfast was fresh and delicious every morning, with plenty of choice to start the day. The hotel was spotless, welcoming, and perfectly located. We felt so well looked after and can’t wait to return.

Absolutely loved this hotel.
You get a great welcome from the lovely staff.
Both my wife and I are vegetarian and really enjoyed the dinner menu.
We went through the menu every morning with our breakfast and if there wasn't anything we fancied, they would go through other options with us.
There is a relaxing court yard where you enjoy a strawberry mojito or two.
There is noise from the traffic but this is Italy.
It is situated close to every where worth going.
I would definitely come back.

Our stay at hotel Ascot was brilliant, we were a little worried as it was one of the cheaper hotels but we didnt need to be. Our room was spacious and clean, the bathroom was lovely and the shower was great. The hotel was clean, the breakfast very good, we had lunch on the patio, the pool for us- perfect size, the views from the roof terrace, and the location - we could just walk everywhere we needed to go, they have towels for the pool if you want them, but what really made it for us were the staff- so friendly and helpful, asked about our day, helped us learn some Italian and when my brother came from another hotel to join us for the day he was welcomed 'your family is my family' was the response from the staff. If we come to sorrento again this would be where we stayed as our trip was perfect 👌

If you wanted to sit and find things to nit pick and complain about you could, but why would you when the view is great, the staff are amazing and its one of the cheaper hotels! The staff were so friendly to my family and really asked questions about our trip and what we were doing each day, we all felt so welcome and at home and would definitely stay again if we come back to Sorrento.

The balcony is loud if you are on that side of the hotel, but as soon as you close the window/door the sound is blocked out completely 🙂

Arrived at the Hotel around 11pm staff couldnt do enough to help and were very friendly, Rooms were very clean and tidy, pool was small but good enough for my needs, garden area very relaxing, Hotel ordered food menu very good and cooking was quality, they served the best coffee in Sorrento, Location was superb right next to marina and the hotel was sort of at the start of the main drag on the resort. Would i go back yes of course and im thinking same time next year.

We were there for a family wedding and couldn’t have been more welcomed by the staff, ALL of the staff on site are lovely and welcoming.
Our cleaner at the hotel worked so hard - we were on first floor- our room was absolutely spotless everyday.
We had lunch nearly everyday at the hotel they have a lovely outside eating patio.
The pool although small and chilly when you first get in it was lovely much better than I thought it would be looking at photos, it was August BH but we always had a sunbed or chair.
The main advantage is you are only a couple of mins walk from the main strip with its many shops/cafes/restaurant. Lovely to not have to plan a taxis and how to get home.
On the very last day we found there is a free beach in walking distance, we thought you had to pay for all of them like you do down by the harbour.
All in all a lovely holiday at this very friendly hotel.

This hotel is great value for money in the perfect location! To start, the breakfast is great and has plenty of options, including some hot food. The garden bar in the hotel is a huge plus as it has the cheapest drinks we found on the whole trip & has a lovely atmosphere on an evening. The room is very basic and not the most impressive, but it is thoroughly cleaned every day with beds/towels changed daily. The bed is fairly comfy and the balcony was great (I would recommend upgrading to a balcony room as these tend to be in better positions it seems!). The pool area was great and had enough beds for everyone, the rest of the hotel is also dates but gives a traditional Italian feel. The best part of this hotel is the location, there is a supermarket 1 minute walk away and the main street / beaches are all under 19 minute walks. I would stay here again if needing a central hotel for sure! 🩵🇮🇹

Just arrived back from two weeks in Sorrento staying at the Hotel Ascot. Myself, hubby, two daughters 21 and 18. First time in Italy and I was really worried after reading some of the reviews on this hotel and I was over the moon when we arrived!
We had two rooms with balconies at the back of the hotel, room 202 and 204. The rooms were spacious, clean and had loads of storage space with plenty of plug points which did not require fast charging of I phones or Apple Watches. The fridge was excellent to store water and beers for a wee read with a drink on the balcony after a day out or a day at the pool. Every day the rooms were cleaned and we could smell bleach and cleanness afterwards. The breakfast had plenty of choice and was very tasty. We ate lunch in the hotel twice which was also very tasty, plenty of choice of food and cocktails and not too expensive! The pool area was spotless and we spent a lot of time on the rooftop terrace which was deserted and good for a welcome breeze!
The staff were so friendly and helpful.
There is a supermarket next door which was perfect to stock up on water and snacks. Location is fantastic for going into the main town for dinner and drinks!

4th year in a row at Ascot Hotel and yet again made to feel at home. Location is perfect but what makes this place for us is the family feel of the hotel. Each year they remember us from our previous visits and make us feel at home right away. Rooms spotless, breakfast good and you need to sit in the courtyard for an afternoon spritz. Pool area there is always available beds and is a little sun trap. I reckon other reviewers have their own opinions but trust me this place is all you need in Sorrento and more. Already looking at next year dates ❤️

Absolutely fabulous hotel. Rooms are very basic but spotlessly clean. The staff are all very attentive. Breakfast had lots of choice and when we stayed in and had bar food that was also lovely and reasonably priced. Drinks from the bar were also reasonably priced. Pool area and rooftop terrace were lovely. The hotel is perfectly situated right in the centre of sorrento and a 10 minute walk to the beach. We are definitely planning to come back and would definitely stay at the Ascot again.

Great located Italian family run hotel at the top of the main street, within walking distance to several bars and restaurants.
The Ascot offered the usual continental breakfast choices plus a buffet style hot choice of eggs/bacon mushrooms etc...all cooked fresh every morning.
In the evening you had a set menu with authentic Italian ingredients which we had two nights and was very nice or there was a bar snack menu served alday with pizza/Pasta/burgers/salads, again all very tasty and very well priced.
The staff/owners were all very pleasant and helpful, nothing was too much trouble plus they offer a nice selection of cocktails.
Thanks too everyone at the Ascot we will definitely be back.
