We enjoyed our stay and the staff were fantastic.
Pros:

The view from the balcony was great, especially as we got a breeze most days, which made it comfortable. The bed was comfortable, and the kitchen and bathroom were fine. We appreciated the fans and the split system to help keep cool.

Cons:

The pillows were not what we expected, being quite hard. The biggest issue was that the lift did not work and we had to go up and down the stairs every time we left and returned to the apartment. This was most difficult with our luggage.

Absolutely horrible and waste of money

The location was good

Cons:

The bed had bed bugs and me and my partner both had bites due to it and the manager came and just kept saying it’s because of bugs we got at the beach but we didn’t even go to the beach. The room was filthy. Spider webs everywhere and ants everywhere. You cannot use the stove because it was so dirty it makes a smoky smell. The dishwasher leaked water everywhere. And they let us change rooms due to the bed bugs but it was a room that was more filthier.

Pros:

Only a 900m walk to the Airlie foreshore.
Restaurant downstairs was quite good.

Cons:

The room was very small.
No air-conditioning in the bedroom.
There was no shower curtain on the bath/shower, so water got everywhere when trying to shower.
The light in the entryway to the unit was very bright and shone through under the door the whole night.

If you want a cheap base and don't care about any frills and you like a hard bed go for it.
Pros:

Not a bad view and its at the bottom of the hill so you dont have to climb a mountain to get there if you are walking. Rooms seem fairly sound proof didnt have any outside noise blasting me.

Cons:

Place is very very dated needs to be brought up to scratch a little bit. No Air con in the bedroom so if this was the middle of summer i would cook. The fridge didnt work properly i lost all my food, i had to unplug it for a few hours to let it defrost and it came back to normal. Bed was hard as a rock, there is a light right outside the bedroom window that lights the room up with the power of the sun so if you like dark rooms, you will miss out. Room bathroom wasn't cleaned properly there was a razor from someone who must of stayed before me still in the bathroom, I ended up cutting my losses on the second night and booked elsewhere, i was up for work so needed a good night sleep and that was not going to happen here.
