Luxury in downtown phoenix
Pros:

Location of this hotel is great, many of restaurants and attractions close by. Every person i encountered was extremely helpful and pleasant. The room was very clean and spacious. Would definitely stay here again

Excellent hotel and experience here!
Pros:

This hotel was outstanding! It is in an excellent location to Mortgage Matching Center, Chase Field, restaurants and fast food, shops, all within walking distance.
The hotel itself was very clean, comfortable lobbies on first and second floors. Staff was very friendly and helpful with directions and suggestions.
Many areas to relax with a book, laptop or take a nap, by the pool or bar area off the pool.
The room was very clean, modern, bright, had extra toiletries in the bathroom and if you needed anything that you may have forgotten, they could get it for you. No problems with AC. Amazingly comfortable beds.
Only small complaint was music at night could be heard in room but not so loud that you couldn't sleep and it stopped at an early hour.
I would not hesitate staying here again!

Wedding stay
Pros:

Our stay was fantastic! We got married and stayed here for the weekend and couldn’t have had a better stay! Raul knew us by name, we shared laugh and experiences and he made us feel so special knowing we had just gotten married. And shoutout to Sonya who helped us out with our stay and left water and champagne for us and a nice note!

Good location, comfy bed.
Pros:

The bed was comfortable and the location was good.

Cons:

Pool area was dirty. Very loud music by the pool. The sunbed situation was dire. House keeping was very hit and miss as were some of the staff, except for Matt by the pool, he was great. The shower in the bedroom was very difficult to control, came out scolding. Try and pick a room that's not tram side as they run till late and start early. It wasn't a bad stay but did have niggles.

A terrible customer experience, memorable in the worst way
Pros:

Came here for an enjoyable last weekend before my spouse begins cancer treatment. Poolside seat in the sun, rest, relaxation, distraction from what lies ahead. Sounds nice, right? WRONG. KIMPTON PIMPED OUT EVERY SINGLE POOL SEAT ON A SATURDAY.

I have traveled extensively for work and fun for decades and experienced every sleazy monetization attempt and thought I had seen the worst, but Kimpton managed to prove there is a 10th circle of hell below the 9 circles we knew about when it comes to greed.

Also, don’t send us those cheesy rating surveys if you don’t actually have any interest in our experience.

Valet service was great!

Great place to stay whether you’re local or visiting from out of state
Pros:

We had such a wonderful stay celebrating my husband’s birthday! From the moment we arrived, the staff made the experience feel special. What really stood out was the thoughtful service. The team went out of their way to help make the birthday celebration memorable, which we truly appreciated. It’s the little touches and kindness from the staff that made our stay feel extra special.
The amenities were great, the property was well cared for, and everything made for a perfect getaway. We left feeling relaxed, celebrated, and already looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a comfortable stay with exceptional hospitality!

Kimpton Palomar = Disappointment

Location is convenient.

Cons:

Our 5th floor room overlooked the rooftop bar. Excessively loud EDM pumped all night. I went to the front desk to speak with the night manager who attempted to ignore me while I waited for him to complete a call from another guest complaining about the loud music. He avoided eye contact and shunted me off to service a larger group. The other clerk offered to change my room but added in an upcharge for a higher floor. I was flabbergasted to be upcharged when it was the hotel's fault that the room we had was rendered unhabitable due to loud music. After I'd obtained the new room, the night manager said there was nothing he could do but the DJ would turn the music down at midnight. It was 9:45 pm and we had just flown cross-country and were ready to unwind. The night manager then condescendingly asked what I'd expected from a downtown hotel noisewise? I informed him that I was from NYC and knew when a room was too loud. Moreover, we brought our dog with us as we've stayed at Kimpton properties before and knew them to be pet-friendly. Other than two water bowls in the lobby, there are no concessions or facilities for pets. The hotel is in the middle of a concrete jungle with no relief areas for pets. A cleansable strip of astroturf would have been nice. Otherwise, the breakfast at Blue Hound was very good.
