The Federica of the Concierge of the hotel is very wonderful staff
I bought the five days of the hotel . On the first day, they gave me a poor room. After discussing it with them, they changed it for me. The service attitude was still quite good.
Staff was amazing. Views from the restaurant unbelievable.

Nothing
We booked a room with a balcony and lake view, which was beautiful but charged at an incredible premium. There was a balcony with table and chairs, but the bannister for the balcony was so tall you wouldn't be able to see out if you sat there, making the outside space somewhat impractical. The other miss is that the door to the balcony was quite small, and on the same side of the room as the bed so the room didn't get a lot of natural light or benefit much from the view. — felt like a miss. We loved the free standing bathtub and location. Staff were friendly and we enjoyed dinner at the restaurant (though felt like pretty standard fare for what was available around the main square).

Le personnel du petit déjeuné. il y avait 2 ou 3 tables de libre pour la vue direct sur le lac, nous n'avons pas eu le droit de s'y mettre. j'ai demandé si on pouvait réserver une place, on m'a répondu NON. Pourquoi n'avons nous pas pu avoir ces places ? Sur les 3 nuits, on a pas pu prendre le petit déjeuné avec vu sur le lac !!!
Sur la télé dans la chambre, qualité des chaines hyper mauvaises, en plus impossible d'utiliser l'entrée HDMI.
Bruit important entendu de la chambre tout les soirs jusqu'à au moins 23h.
We had the absolute best stay at Hotel Royal Victoria.
The view from the room was unbelievable and also had everything we needed, including a very comfy bed.
Breakfast was great, with things replaced really quickly when they’d run out and a good choice of food options. The restaurant attached to the hotel was fab too, and we really enjoyed our meal there.
The staff went above and beyond and we cannot thank them enough for their recommendations, sorting out transport and bookings etc when we needed it.
Would 100% recommend and we will be back! Grazie
The hotel was in an amazing location, with stunning views overlooking the lake. If you can get a room with a lake view I would highly recommend. The staff were amazing I mentioned it was my birthday and they went above and beyond for me. Riccardo on the front desk was amazing.

For the price, you expect parking and spa to be included in the price.
But everything is really worth it ! We really enjoyed our stay.
This property is absolutely stunning, and the staff is phenomenal. I was blown away. I went on the off-season by myself, and they upgraded my room from what was already a great room to a private stone cottage right on the water. I never asked for an upgrade, they just took the initiative because they had it available. The whole staff was extremely kind and accommodating, far beyond what I need or expect. The location is incomparable. I cannot recommend this property enough.

Better pillows
Wow. Varenna, what a location, with stunning views and steeped in local history. I would recommend this as the best place to stay for a relaxed holiday on lake Como.
The Royal Victoria isn’t the cheapest hotel, but it is well appointed with excellent clean and quiet rooms with breathtaking views by the lakeside. The biggest compliment I can pay here is about the staff. They are so professional, helpful and charming, willing to assist you in any way they can. Can’t wait to book my next visit 😊
