Location perfect in New Hartford near many stores and eateries, and near family in Vernon. Loved the room, bed, pillows, fridge, and overall accommodations. Rm 222. The front desk staff Jean (man) and Danielle were very friendly and gave great customer service. At our request extra towels and shower bench for my elderly mother provided.
Bathroom tub had a very slow drain, water pressure low, and dirty floor behind bathroom door and in some other floor areas.

Breakfast was nasty. When asked for extra pillow and blanket (due to we had a sleeper sofa in room) the staff said we do not have that. so we had to roll up our cloths to make a pillow.
I've stayed at this Hampton Inn many times in the past but not the handicapped rooms. The location is great for visiting my family. The front desk staff was great.
We had to change rooms because the AC was stuck at 60 degrees. The wall thermostat didn't work and the unit thermostat was frozen at 60 degrees.
The handicapped accessible bathroom didn't have a tall toilet. Two tile molding pieces in the bathroom were missing.
On check-out I was told the hotel will be renovated......it's time.
The bathroom water pressure was too low.
The hotel was clean and the bed was comfortable. Because of the reservation mistake, they did reduce the price of the room, which was appreciated.
We reserved a handicap room through Booking.com. The hotel indicated that you never told them that we needed handicap. At 4:30AM when I was trying to stand up from a very low toilet, I was furious! This is not acceptable.

It was not adequate, very old and the breakfast was a joke: pladic cutlery, plasic cups and carton plate. Very sugary and processed food

I am a Hilton Diamond member with 75 nights already in 2025, and I was disappointed by my experience at this Hampton Inn & Suites. I requested a modest 2 PM checkout so my family and I could attend a hockey game later that afternoon without having to sit outside with our belongings.
The hotel would only extend checkout to noon, and then quoted me $175 to stay until 2:30 PM.
As a frequent Hilton guest, I have always valued the consistency, recognition, and loyalty benefits that come with my status. This policy feels out of step with those standards. A 1–2 hour extension should be a simple courtesy, especially for a Diamond member, not treated as an excessive upcharge.
While the property itself is clean and comfortable, this experience left me questioning the value of my loyalty. I hope Hilton reviews this approach so that Diamond members feel appreciated rather than penalized.
The location was perfect for us. Excellent and immaculate facilities. We loved the outdoor fire pits and pool. Breakfast was nice. Lots of parking. Great staff!
