Nice hotel in a walkable location.
Pros:

Good location. Bus and train stops nearby. Many restaurants and shops a short walk away. No car needed during your stay.

Plenty of food options for breakfast at the hotel.

Cons:

The room is fine for one person, but would be too small for two people and two suitcases.

Pros:

Zeer vriendelijk personeel, wij mochten al zeer vroeg op de kamer. Wij hadden een kamer met kitchenette, ruime kamer, meer dan voldoende aanwezig in de kitchenette, kleine maar zeer hygienische badkamer, veel handdoeken, rolluiken om te verduisteren een groot balcon met mooi uitzicht. Het ontbijt was voldoende. Wij hadden een gerenoveerde kamer, die was dus prima in orde.

Cons:

wij verbleven maar 1 nacht maar moesten toch voor 2 dagen parking betalen (10chf) Ik vind dit toch wel een beetje overdreven. Er was naast het hotel een bouwwerf (daar kunnen zij niets aan doen) maar dan zou ik toch bv de parking gratis gegeven hebben of voor maar 5chf ter compensatie van het lawaai.

Rundum sehr gut. Es war ein wunderschöner Urlaub
Pros:

Hotel war sehr gut , Lage war sehr gut zur Innenstadt und ist direkt am Bahnhof.
Frühstück war auch gut und ausreichend.
Personal sehr freundlich.

Cons:

Es gibt kein Kretikt Punkt. Es war alles Okay.

Watch out what you book vs what you receive
Cons:

We had a bad experience: we booked a room with balcony and we received one without. The received room was on the ground floor, it had a terase, in front of a construction site. When we asked for changing the room because we paid for the balcony, the receptionist, it seems it was the owner, said that they dont have other room, and the terase is like a balcony 😂. It made our stay very unpleasant. Also very basic breakfast, without vegetarian option, without vegetables.

Pros:

Zimmer war nett und gut ausgestattet. Das Personal war freundlich, soweit vorhanden. Frühstück war OK, aber doch ein Stück weg von "ausgezeichnetes Frühstück" wie in der Beschreibung angegeben.

Cons:

Der Charakter des Hauses war eher eine Pension als ein Hotel. Abends ist kein Personal mehr vorhanden. Es gibt einen Getränkekühlschrank zur Selbstbedienung. Hatten ein Zimmer mit Terrasse, allerdings war die Aussicht direkt auf den Bauzaun und den Rohbau mit Arbeitsaktivitäten eher unterirdisch.

Ein empfehlenswertes Hotel.
Pros:

Die Lage ist sehr gut. Der Hotelbesitzer war sehr zuvorkommend.

Cons:

Das Einzelzimmer war klein und hatte wegen eines überdimensionalen Bettes wenig Bewegungsraum. So fehlte mir eine etwas größere Schreibmöglichkeit und vielleicht ein bequemer Stuhl zum Fernsehen.

The hotel almost on the tracks
Pros:

The fact that it had a kitchenette.

Cons:

The location is awful, it is right next to the railway track with trains coming into Engelberg, added to which their is major construction on the building next door that starts just before 7.30am.

Pros:

Nice Hotel, nice room and friendly staff

Cons:

Construction of 3 new buildings just next door, will end in 1-2 month. But not a plesent view from our room.
Strange that you pay for parking the day you arrive and also for the day that you leave.

Good location, good Breakfast but not worth the price
Pros:

The location which was very very close to engelberg station and city centre and also other activities. Breakfast was not diverse but good. Enough parking.

Cons:

Not worth the price. I guess we're paying for the location and the peak season. But apart from that, it was too warm for the summer. With no AC or fan, then the pillows were not good. Overall we didn't have a good sleep.
Another strange thing, Parking you have to pay for per day and not per night, which includes both check in and check out days, which means 1 day extra. So that was the first time we have seen such ways of counting for parking. Basically we parked for less than 72 hours but paid for 96.
Also only the parking in the front seemed to be the one from the hotel, but only on the day of leaving, we were informed that there was other parking which was marked with white (similar to a public paid parking) is also theirs. Could have informed us that before pointing towards the fact that we parked at a spot reserved for bikes (which looked similar to a parking spot with yellow markings and cars were also parked there at other times) , and we parked there cause no other yellow parking spots were available (for which we paid extra)
