The hotel itself is nice. The rooms and gym are great. The food is decent but extremely overpriced for Luanda. Also, the vibes are very weird and off. A bunch of wealthy Europeans being served by Angolans. It’s a horrible horrible place. Also the location sucks. This price and no pool too? Wow.
Lack of enough personnel at the front desk to satisfy the high demand of clients.
Really good stay. I liked the hotel a lot, would stay another time.
It was a great stay in a great location. Really nice stay
Good hotel.
Was a great business stay. The room is nice.
It's difficult to find value for money in Luanda, this is definitely not one of those hotels. The bar/dinner service is exceptionally slow and they seem to ignore you for 20-30 minutes even before asking if you would like a drink, I left twice due to the excessive wait, even though there are more than enough staff on duty the service takes forever. Food quality probably cheap café standard at 5 star prices, I send one beef main back because it was like chewing on leather. The best thing would be to stick to the snack menu (Prego) and a cold beer.
Was a short trip because of the new wave
This property is tired with old fixtures and furniture. The staff is very accommodating and professional. They made my stay comfortable. main problem is that this hotel, like everything else in Angola is grossly over-priced. This hotel would be priced around $ 100 / night anywhere else in the world. The restaurant is good. Location is great.
Much better experience than the last time. Service has its ups and downs, but most of the staff are genuinely trying to help. A few of the staff are completely uninterested in being helpful.
The Presidente has really made efforts to upgrade their rooms. I was unfortunately given a standard room upon checking-in, which was average, but the hotel finally managed to put me in the right room with kitchenette. The kitchenette was unfortunately completely empty. After requiring utensils, Simone brought me a kettle, a plate a fork and cooking utensils. I had to order room service to keep a glass and a cup for my tea. No tea/coffee facility was provided, no conditioner, no iron or ironing board either, which I find absolutely unacceptable for a hotel that caters to business travellers.
Apart from that, the room was lovely, spacious, comfortable and had an amazing view over the port of Luanda
The hotel was decent, but the room smelled like humidity. The gym was so humid and muggy, the mirrors and windows were fogging up. Was like working out in a sauna. But overall hotel was fine but overpriced for the quality of the rooms.
hotel has the best view, clean but very expensive.
The Presidente is a well-situated hotel next to Luanda's bay park. The The 8th floor bar and dining room have fabulous views of the bay, as do many of the rooms. Rooms are clean, well appointed and quiet. A very enjoyable stay. Staff is courteous and attentive. A great hotel for business or tourists. Would stay here again.
Stay was comfortable enough for Luanda. Check-in service was horrendous and I the check-in desk refused initially to accept that my Hotels.com booking was prepaid; the manager trying to resolve the issue was offensive, insulting and rude (horrendous service from a manager of a $300 per night hotel). I will avoid the Presidente at all costs in future.
Stayed 4 nights on a business trip. Location as right on the waterfront, about 20 minutes from the airport, and close to the business district. The property is modern, clean, had fast free wi-fi, big selection of TV channels of various languages, great shower and all the amenities one expects from a modern hotel.
The buffet breakfast was varied and good, and the 2 restaurants were really good. They also have an inside/outside bar on the 8th floor that has an amazing view of the city at night.
That's a really great hotel especially for business occasions.
Very poor service - High price - Old rooms
Air conditioning leaked water on the floor. There was no drain stopper in the bath tub and only one towel in the room.
Confortable, safe and very quite. Good restaurant, amazing City views.
