It was clean, couldn’t hear our neighbors, & it was close to the train. The breakfast was great, too!
Nothing
Right where I needed it to be
Older property…needs updating to compete with newer hotels in the immediate vicinity.
Number one - the staff was excellent. Very responsive and friendly. Also, the location was great! Room was very comfortable.
Some work was being down on neighboring hotel during our stay (seemed like they were close to finishing up). It could be noisy outside BW during the day.
Superou minhas expectativas, bem perto da estação de trem.
Dica: Após o check in eles disponibilizam cupom de 20 dólares para uso no bar do hotel, um pequeno agrado que faz a diferença para o cliente.
Can’t beat the location and parking
Have stayed here many times but the last couple times have been uncomfortable. The property needs updating. The beds are worn out and the walls are very thin. With two new hotels opening up right across the street, the value just isn’t there anymore.
The hotel is beautiful. Stayed 1 night, years ago. And will stay again. This time stayed 2 nights. Our room wasn't serviced. I questioned the front desk, I was suppose to inform the front desk I wanted the room service. I wasn't told that at check in, I want told. But now I know! I'll definitely return! It's a couple blocks from the Silverton-Durango train. Just in waking distance.
Lage zum Zug
Zimmer mit Fenster zum Gang, Zimmertür zum lauten Innenpool, Dieselgeruch vor dem Hotel….
Good
Eggs and sausage
If you are riding the Durango and Silverton, stay here! The location is amazing very little distance between major attractions in Durango! The rooms are amazing and clean. The cleanest shower I showered in at a hotel. Super quiet especially when you go to bed. The room I stayed in had a huge tv which was great for movie night. most of the channels you need to sign into though. An amazing pool that seemed very quiet. This place has a ginormous breakfast selection. Too many items to choose, in a good way! The price was a little overrated being about $500 but I would absolutely stay here again highly recommend!
Free breakfast, happy hour, friendly staff, close to everything
Maid service only if requested
Staff was great and friendly!
Easy early checkin. We got in early so came in to only to see if we could go ahead & park. We arrived about noon.. our room was ready so we checked in before going to see the town. Big clean room & bathroom. We were on the first floor facing the pool. Easy entry to bring bags in & to park. King with a sofa. Close to breakfast & Happy Hour location. Very close to office as well via a side entry door. Laundry on first floor by us as well.. but I did not use it as we are early into our long trip. We had a great quiet stay.
Buffet breakfast was very good and well maintained. Eggs, bacon or sausage, biscuits, sausage gravy, oatmeal, potatoes, waffles, bread items & other things.
Walking distance to so much as well, including our excursion pickup and train back from Silverton.
In mid-April, stayed four nights in room 212, a King Suite with balcony on the interior of the building overlooking the atrium pool. Hotel location was ideal for walking distance to the train and nearby restaurants. Parking could get crowded on busy days/nights, but always found a space.
Room was roomy and clean; bed was comfortable; hotel furnished hand soap, lotion, and in the shower area there were body wash, shampoo, and conditioner dispensers. The room did have a small "step-up" from the hall into the room, which didn't allow for straight roll-in of luggage on wheels.
Mini-fridge was a larger size with a small freezer section in the top and kept groceries good and cold. Never used coffee maker nor microwave, but they were available in the room. Room had a nice couch with coffee table, work desk area, and balcony with sliding door, if you wanted some fresh air. There was also a closet and drawers for storing clothing items.
One of the best amenities was the breakfast; it was really good for a hotel. Tons of variety of foods, including hot items of eggs, bacon, sausage, gravy & biscuits, make-your-own waffles, and oatmeal. Three or four dry cereals, yogurt, pastries & muffins, juices, milk, and of course coffee were available. The two attendants on staff kept things well stocked and were friendly.
The atrium outside the room stays quite warm and humid with a strong smell of chlorine thanks to the pool, but if you don't linger too long, it shouldn't bother you too much.
My only issue came on check-out day when the room key stopped working before check-out AND the one and only elevator broke down. Being on the second floor and having very heavy luggage, it was quite the struggle getting it down a flight of stairs as well as all the groceries. I always count on being able to use a luggage cart, but no elevator available meant that couldn't be used.
Otherwise, I can highly recommend this hotel for a convenient stay in downtown Durango and wouldn't hesitate to book it again on a return visit.
It’s close to downtown and allows us to have our dog. It’s also always clean!
Just sometimes it can get overly pricey for what you get.
