Super Lage für eine Fahrt mit der historischen Eisenbahn!

Die Lage des Hotels ist super, wenn man wie wir mit der historischen Eisenbahn fahren will. Der Bahnhof liegt nur 5 Minuten zu Fuß entfernt. Auch das Zimmer mit Balkon war sehr schön und ruhig gelegen. Außerdem gibt es in der Bar eine Happy Hour mit Freigetränken.

Cons:

Den zweiten Morgen wurde sich leider nicht um das Frühstücksbuffet gekümmert, sodass kein Kaffee mehr da war.

Great Place and Close by Everything
Pros:

I loved our view from the balcony.
Breakfast was really good.
Hotel was within walking distance to a lot of places.

Cons:

Parking was a hassle, but it looked like the parking situation was resolved by adding more parking spaces.

Good hotel with awful, harsh lighting
Pros:

Overall our stay was pretty good and the room was comfortable besides the harsh, unpleasant lighting.

Cons:

Best Western, like so many other hotel chains seems to have succumbed to the awful trend of using daylight colored (6000k) light bulbs instead of a reasonable soft white. This harsh lighting choice gives me and so many other people I know headaches and makes for an unpleasant experience. These lights have also been shown to affect one's circadian rhythm which can lead to poor quality of sleep if exposed to it right before bedtime.

Pros:

The hotel is easy walking distance to downtown Durango, restaurants and the Durango Silverton Train. Room was clean, but the mattress could be updated (not awful, not great). They were very accommodating when we decided to add an extra night to our stay.
