Old, dated

Good location, easy to walk to a lot of interesting things. However, my room was constantly damp. All my things would always be a little bit wet after the first night. Also, the sink would leak a lot of water onto the bathroom floor whenever I used it. Thankfully, the shower had hot water.

The hotel looks absolutely nothing like the photos. The rooms were very small and overall very run down. Mould was present on the ceiling and in the bathroom.

It is in the heart of the Old Quarter which some people may like.

I would not stay again.

Staff were friendly and the area around the hotel is great, but the hotel is messy and the photos don’t depict an accurate depiction of it, great for budget travelling however

I reserved Hanoi Charming House double room on Expedia and paid 27$ CAD per night. Upon arrival we were told there are no rooms available even though I already reserved and paid. The owner then said that she could give us a room at her 2nd hostel around the corner. The room we were given was nothing at all like the pictures of what we reserved. Terrible bathroom and the room was barely big enough to fit the bed. Would not recommend staying here.

Happy with my stay, very accessible to get around.

This hotel is a scam. The pictures online must have been taken when it was newly built, probably 10-15 years ago. I was so shocked when i went in. The place is old, dirty and it smells terrible. I had to use the restroom downstairs cuz I haven’t checked in yet and it is the dirtiest restroom I’ve ever seen. I honestly almost cried.

Overall it was good and quite cheap but there were some shortcomings too

Room was small and definitely had damp. The bathroom door was a slippery hazard, the air on spat water on me at night. No one at check in so had to call them and then wait another ten minutes. No water in the room on arrival. Bed was comfy and reasonable location. Can book airport connections easily with them also

Run down hotel in central old quarter. Not have enough room.
Fair deal for the price and location.

We arrived at the hotel early and the staff were happy to store our luggage until check-in. Unfortunately, our room hadn't been cleaned when this time arrived. The manager said she thought we might be more comfortable in another hotel, a few minutes away as it had a window, whereas the room in the current location did not. We thought that was a kind offer, agreed and hee husband kindly dropped our rucksacks off as well, to save us carrying them.
The new room had a sliding door that looked out over the street below, air-conditioning, kettle and toiletries but it was dirty. Soap scum build-up on rapearé in the bathroom, cracked bath, shower that barely worked and produced a dribble of water. The sheets, duvet and cover were stained and we found a condom under the duvet, blood and urine stains on the mattress protector and hair from both ends of a person on the sheets. Not in a position to get another hotel, we cleaned up as best we could and used our sleeping bag liners instead of the linen provided. The bolt on the door didn't work either, which didn't make us feel comfortable. The managers were very friendly but this hotel needs work.
Location in The Old Quarter is excellent.

Overall it was good. The staff were very helpful
