Location and staff
Nothing
The staff were very friendly. Food was excellent well done to the chef who works so hard to make sure everyone is happy.Rooms were lovely and clean.Lovely place just to relax and enjoy the company. Well done, have been going there for years now and will continue in the future.
Nothing it was all very good, excellent in fact.
Food was very good.Bed was comfortable and linens were clean and in good order.Staff were exceptional, unfailingly cheerful, polite and very helpful.
The hotel is totally unsuitable for elderly and disabled guests,no lift and lots of stairs.Location is more than difficult as there are no pavements and the roads can be busy. Not as close to the sea as advertised. Bathroom was a disaster.
It is friendly, clean, food is amazing ,the decor is great looks so much better.
The staff are lovely... always friendly. A group of us have been staying there for many years at least once a year.
The meals are too big for me so I tend to have a starter or two instead.
The property was located near to my workplace. The lady on reception on arrival was friendly and helpful as were the restaurant staff at breakfast.
The bedding and towels were clean and soft. There was plenty of toilet roll and tea /coffee as well as biscuits.
I thought the overall building was tired and in need of maintenence.
The room fixtures and fittings were dated and worn.
Tiles were cracked in the shower, There was some black mould on grout in the shower. The shower tray was damaged and badly siliconed. The shower head was scaled and couldn't be moved to a more suitable direction, splashing mainly on the shower door, which didnt close properly. It was also a small shower enclosure and I'm a small woman, it would have been more difficult for a larger person.
The carpet was stained in places and the curtains didnt close properly and seemed creased and old as did the faux leather chair, which was cracked and peeling.
The breakfast menu was limited. The coffee wasn't filtered, There was only orange juice available, no choice of apple or cranberry.
No fruit other than a few oranges and 1 banana on the first morning, nothing on the second.
Porridge was a carton you added water to and made yourself.
The bread was tasty and fresh, but there was only butter pats available no other spread and one flavour of jam, I'm not sure if there was any marmalade. There were no alternatives to bread, such as croissants, pancakes etc.
The dining room decor seemed tired and in need of updating.. I didnt go into the bar or any other communal area.
I thought £130 per night for bed and breakfast was overpriced.
Loved how dog friendly the place was. The breakfast lady was super friendly and the shower was amazing.
Beautiful place great staff
How I can’t live there
Good location for what I needed. Good car parking.
Friendly helpful staff and lovely evening meal
I was one person for breakfast I a room that prob holds about 50! I know it was the low time of year but there was no atmosphere not even a radio on… would have been nice to have the usually bowl of fresh fruit on offer, it croissants. Still as I say it was the low time of year and maybe different when it’s busier!
The staff member who coked the breakfast was a delight and very helpful.
I had scrambled eggs, which were edible but I felt it was an egg mix rather than freshly cooked eggs.
Excellent food and location
Room cleaning was overlooked on one occasion
Good food and friendly staff.
Comfortable bed, well appointed bar.
Location suited our purpose well.
Plenty of off road parking space.
The bathroom was poor. Fittings were a bit old-fashioned. The shower screen was partially disconnected and it was not possible to close it completely. This led to water splashing all over the floor.
The light was operated by a pull code and the handle was missing. The cord had been loop knotted and was very discoloured.
Corridors to rooms were somewhat poorly lit and felt grubby.
Staff welcoming and friendly, food excellent, first time away with my Dog, made to feel really welcome, excellent location.
