Great stay
Pros:

Warm welcome , amazing food . Comfortable fire lit bar with lots of memorabilia . Extremely Comfortable room and a fab breakfast. Couldn't recommend it more highly . Excellent. Thanks Rory and the team

Wonderful stay, great accomodation and food, and exceptional staff.
Pros:

This is a lovely inn with quiet and very comfortable rooms and fully equipped private bathrooms. Great breakfast, and very good restaurant for dinner each evening. The staff were all, without exception, very friendly and helpful.

Cons:

Large helpings of food at dinner and breakfast. However the bean stroganoff was too salty and dry. The fish and chips were just okay as were the eggs at breakfast 😐

Mooi locatie en prachtige pub, heel leuk personeel en lekker eten.

Cons:

Waar wij met de hond moesten zitten, was qua comfort niet ideaal. Te lage tafel om aan te eten. Erg jammer, voor de rest top!

Pros:

Room was clean and comfortable. Ensuite bathroom had a good shower. Good towels. Dinner of fish and chips was excellent, but the menu was relatively short and uninspiring. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Easy parking.

Cons:

Poor curtains although the area behind the hotel was dark. Didnt like the poor quality table i was offered at dinner but that was eventually changed on request. Dinner menu was short and uninspiring. Relatively poor choice. General decor was dated for a moderately expensive hotel.

Cosy, peaceful, wonderful staff
Pros:

The staff are absolutely lovely, and I never use that word! Always smiling and cheery even though they must be busy.

The inn is a very cosy and comfortable stop off for us en route to Edinburgh. It’s a peaceful antidote to the hubbub of cities.

Cons:

Would have liked a bath, there wasn’t one in our room on this occasion, but we didn’t book early enough!
