We enjoyed our stay thoroughly though it was only 1 night stay.
Pros:

We had room with the view and it definitely made me very happy!
The room was very specious for 3 people and confortable.
Breakfast was good and satisfying.

Cons:

The bath tub was difficult. It was very high to step in. There should be an extra step for the persons with difficulties.

Altes Hotel mit Charme, aber einige upgrades erforderlich

Gepäcklager und neben dran eine Dusche mit Handtücher und Shampoo damit man sich am Tag der abreise noch frisch machen kann nach dem wandern

Der Kaffee ist grauenhaft (Instant Kaffee) da wäre rin upgrade dringend notwendig
Das Frühstück ist für ein Hotel dieser Grösse sehr spärlich und lieblos, das ist eher so Jugendherberge Stil
Es war sehr laut vom Ort und Parkplatz hallt es immer rauf
Es war sehr heiß im Zimmer
Das Waschbecken ist ausserhalb des Badezimmer
In der Lobby stinkt es immer stark nach Rauch

Pros:

Es liegt sehr gut für die ÖV Anbindung. Sehr gutes Frühstück. In den Zimmern war alles da, was man braucht.

Cons:

Schade, dass das Personal nicht gut Deutsch spricht und die Zahlen nicht gut kann. Z.B. Beim Frühstück.
Leider wurden für das Zimmer meiner Freunde nochmals Schlüssel vergeben und abends um 22.30 Uhr kamen plötzlich Fremde Gäste ins Zimmer. Später kam jemand vom Personal und entschuldigte sich überhaupt nicht. Fehler können passieren, jedoch kommt es darauf an, wie damit umgegangen wird. Wir haben es am Morgen an der Rezeption gemeldet und sie bekamen einen Gutschein.

Pros:

The room was comfortable, renovated, had everything we need.

Cons:

We couldn't eat dinner in the hotel. I think there were groups of tourists and dinner was organized for them, while individual guests were not given any alternative. Also please note that the renovated rooms are in the small annex building (the "residence" building) and not in the big and beautiful building as I would have expected (even if they are more expensive).

Zweckmässig und der Preis ist fair für die Qualität.

Das Hotel ist in die Jahre gekommen. Es wirkt abgenutzt. Teppiche im Flur und in den Zimmer ist nicht mehr zeitgemäss und ist unhygienisch.

Staff was very friendly, lots of space in the room, "The Shining" hotel style but in a good way, breakfast was fine

Wunderbare Lage über Engelberg
Pros:

Die Lage über Engelberg ist hervorragend, die Aussicht sehr schön. Die Zimmer im Terrace haben einen kleinen aber schönen Balkon. Die Bar ist auch am Abend geöffnet und lädt zum Verweilen ein.
