Good central location, staff were very friendly to us and our dog, giving us a dog-friendly dining space. Room was a good size, clean and with extra touches like the radio. Downstairs was spacious with a nice atmosphere and layout. Good breakfast.
Would have liked 1-2 more veggie options on dinner menu as it was very limited for vegetarians. Room was quite warm due to hot water pipes, opening windows was not ideal at night due to facing onto the high street. But would stay here again.
Friendly staff.
Car park not very big hard to find a space if you arrive late.
Service and staff were great : friendly, helpful and efficient.
Room (214) was very comfortable and quiet.
Breakfast was fine but average. Eggs and bacon not of high quality and, I think, not freshly cooked.
Friendly staff , great location . Clean.
Shower was little on the small side.
Staff were very helpful when trying top make up for lack of vegetarian options on the menu
Lack of vegetarian options on menu...when we booked menu had lots of veggie options, but on the day just one on the menu.
TV in room only had 5 random channels
Room was excellent, bed comfortable and shower was lovely and hot! We had dinner in the restaurant which was very good! Parking on site which is always a bonus and Welshpool is a lovely place to visit.
I had wanted a room with a bath but my bed was comfortable and room tastefully decorated. In the pictures, it looked as though you could have a bath or shower at the room price.
I arranged to stay another night and was upgraded to a room with a bath.
The breakfast was fabulous. The choice of eggs was a pleasant addition to the usual cereals and fried breakfast.
Eggs royale was my choice and was quite substantial, but you could also choose Eggs Benedict or Eggs Florentine.
There was nothing that I didn't like.
The guest internet connection wasn't great but could be down to the area.
But when I mentioned this to staff they linked me to their staff internet while I sorted my tickets out.
Location
Room was to hot and couldn't turn radiator down or open a window
Proper hotel, with a proper pub, serving decent food.
Located in the heart of Welshpool. Easy walk from the railway station and to everything around.
Comfy room.
Real beer on tap.
Nice breakfasts.
Nice & helpful staff.
Bedrooms accessible only by stairs.
The room was very good and we particularly liked the Roberts radio in the room — a nice touch that you rarely see in hotel rooms nowadays. The staff were all helpful and friendly.
The breakfast was good overall, although the sausages and bacon were a little overcooked and the toast slightly burnt. The hallway carpets could also be a bit cleaner.
Friendly staff, great breakfast and well decorated and clean room. Loved having a DAB radio.
The room was far too hot and there was no means of turning down the heating, so got very little sleep.
