Lovely hotel
Pros:

We loved the location, the restaurant was delicious along with a superb breakfast. There was parking. We had a great time the staff were amazing and food lovely. Would definitely stay again 👍

Cons:

Our only criticism was the heat in the rooms. It was exceptionally hot outside but the rooms were uncomfortably hot. There was a fan but wasn't much good. No lift up to the second floor and stairs are very steep. Would benefit from a small fridge in room too.

Convenient position in Welshpool. Not enough ventilation in searing temperature but great breakfast
Pros:

Breakfast was nicely done.

Cons:

In temperatures over 30 degrees there were double glazed windows inside single glazed sash windows. Far too hot with not enough ventilation

Good stay.
Pros:

Character property yet rooms are modern and our bathroom recently refurbished. The air conditioning in the bar is a Godsend in the hot weather. The meals are excellent.

Cons:

The company policy of taking payment in full on booking was not made clear and was annoying.

Good value pub-type town centre hotel, with excellent service and good pub grub.
Pros:

Excellent cheery and helpful staff

Cons:

Stayed during a heatwave, in a south facing room, so even with the supplied fan the room was too hot. The (original) sash window needed a wedge to keep it open.

I always tip the staff, so was disappointed to find that a service charge had been automatically added to my bill. When I queried this, it was politely reversed, but I still am unhappy with this method in priciple.

Right in the centre, lovely decor and helpful staff
Pros:

Very nice single room. Helpful staff re car park access and other meal options

Cons:

Although towards the rear the room was noisy with bins being used by other businesses and incredibly noisy room above

Great stay and I would definitely recommend this hotel
Pros:

Good location, good room with ironing facilities, hairdryer, bath with shower over. Very nice bar area. Very good food and great service.

Cons:

It was too hot in the room as there was no air conditioning but a small fan was provided. The car park was initially difficult to find without asking for directions.

Pros:

We liked its location & facilities

Cons:

Despite the hotel not being fully booked by far, our room was on the second floor far away from the stairs creating a struggle with luggage etc. I believe this was because we booked via Booking.com as a neighbouring room also booked via Booking.com.

Perhaps the velux windows upstairs should be opened, it was very hot on the landings and warm in room.
Traffic noise due to temp lights at front of hotel, a room towards the rear would be preferable another time.

A nice hotel that lacks detailed attention to its overall running

Had to wait an hour for our main course when we didn’t order a starter It would appear that there are some staff difficulties
During the early hours there was a fracas outside our room that I had to address

Good town centre hotel
Pros:

Great town centre location. Good secure parking for motorcycle.

Cons:

Saturday night - so a little noisy outside until the early hours (had to have window open as weather was hot)
