Sunday Mangrove Corniche Hotel, Ras Al Khaimah

I was planning to stay at this place for long as I'm staying for business, location is good and most staff are helpful. However, I had repeated issues at reception with someone called "Adnan". His communication has been always rude and dismissive, and he refused to answer basic questions on multiple occasions.

This made simple requests unnecessarily difficult and negatively impacted the stay. I was planning staying in the hotel for a year at least, however, I'm moving to another hotel this week because it is obvious that management has very weak control over their Employees reflected in the individuals' attitudes.

I'm strongly recommending any other hotel or place than this if you're thinking about a long stay.

I checked into this hotel yesterday with my family. When we arrived, the reception area was very dirty and dusty, as if it had not been cleaned for a week.

Inside the room, the condition was horrible. The floor was very dirty and had not been mopped at all, and the window area was extremely dusty, as if no one had checked or cleaned the room before our arrival.

We also requested towels several times because only one towel was provided, but no one came. We asked for water as well, but until we checked out, no one attended to our requests. I called several times with no response.

We arrived at the hotel at 6:15 pm and had to wait until around 7:30 pm to be checked in. According to the receptionist, a room had finally become available. He scanned our Emirates IDs, I signed a check-in document, and we were told to come back in 30 minutes. We returned an hour later, at 8:30 pm, and the receptionist completely ignored us until we approached him ourselves. Then, despite having already scanned our IDs and registered us earlier, he asked for my Emirates ID again.

When we entered the room, we immediately noticed a painting left on the floor in the corridor. Later, when I tried to hang my clothes, I discovered that there were absolutely no hangers in the wardrobe. The bed linens felt damp and uncomfortable when we went to sleep.

The staff did not make any effort to assist or explain anything. Having worked in hospitality for 10 years, including with housekeeping and front office operations, I can confidently say that this hotel seems to have no standards for room cleanliness, amenities, or basic guest service.

Additionally, if you are traveling by car, be aware that the hotel has no internal parking. There is no basement or designated parking level. You can only park at the entrance if you are lucky enough to find a free spot, where cars simultaneously arrive and park in the same small area.

This was our first and definitely last time staying at this property. Guests ahead of us also waited nearly two hours to check in—even after 5–6 pm. Some guests even came back downstairs requesting a room change due to unpleasant smells and non-opening windows.

* I was surprised to discover that although our room was booked with breakfast included, we were not allowed into the breakfast area. The staff insisted it wasn’t included, even though it had been fully paid for. I had to go to the reception at 7:30 a.m. to sort it out, and only then they realized they had simply forgotten to mark it in the system. It was an unnecessary and stressful start to the morning, and it shows that their system and service need improvement.

Overall, the price is mid-range for the city, so it is not a budget stay by any means. Unfortunately, the service, room conditions, and overall experience do not match the cost.

First, the strong smell of cleaning products in the rooms and corridors is unbearable and literally stings your nose. Second, don’t send your laundry as it won’t come back complete. They lost my trousers, a t-shirt, and socks, and what was returned was still wet.

You get what you pay for however the hotel was unclean overall, had to switch rooms due to lots of hair in bath in first room. Second room still unclean, even after showing cleaners where and what needed to be cleaned. My room key stopped working over 5 times. Staff tried to be helpful but overall would not recommend.

Standard of the hotel is very good, rooms spacious, clean. Staff very friendly. Mr Adrien from the reception will solve every issue if appears smth. He is very cearing about the gustes. For him nothing is impossible. I can say thank you very much. We had a nice stay.

I stayed for 4 nights on a business trip. The person who checked me in was completely uninterested and the few dealings I had with him, he remained the same. I had a colleague from the area visit and because he wasn't dressed in a suit he was mistaken for a delivery driver by this desk clerk and spoken to completely inappropriately.
My room on the second floor was spacious and probably in its day was very nice but now it's tired, dated and need of a refurb. Sofa was dirty and stained, bathroom was just clean enough but I used bottled water as the water ran brown in the sink to start with.
I visited the spa, but didn't stay as the staff and the rooms looked completely unprofessional.
I didn't eat at the hotel as I had lost all confidence looking at the standard of the hotel. All of the staff that I saw apart from the initial desk clerk were polite and civil.
I only had to sleep at the hotel, but booked out two days early once I had finished my work commitment in the area.

We wanted to celebrate 19 anniversary of our wedding which is on 25th of October. It is our first visit to RAK and tour package was for Mangrove hotel
Hotel manager is so helpful and staff tries to make your stay unforgettable.
Special thanks to hotel manager and Mohammed at front desk. Josep, Jerin and Prekash did their best to make our stay enjoyable.

Calm and beautiful city, and hotel location is good for entertainment, eating out, shopping and many more!

Stay was pleasant all the staff in the mangrove hotel was excellent like front office team, housekeeping team and kitchen and f and b staff. Hotel rooms was very spacious and good.Breakfast over all was ok but need to improve and bring more variety. Hi

The hotel is not newly built, but it still feels and looks new. Suit room was super spacious and best lake view ever. Tge only comment is their room is too dark in the evening, since most are only LED lights. Staff was polite and kind. Will definitely suggest for other to visit them too

It's a reasonable hotel with good service. The room is clean and comfortable. But the swimming pool is not so big.

Useat luvatut palvelut, kuten uima-allas, kuntosali ja spa puuttuivat, sekä huoneen siisteydessä olisi parantamisen varaa.

I specifically booked this hotel for the pool. I was very disappointed to find that the pool is extremely small and unproper for use. No one watches it and when I went to check it out, there were pigeons playing in it... Needless to say I did not use it...
Also, the first roon that I was assigned smell terribly of cigarette. Staff was quick to move me to another room that didn't smell.
