Apart from the bill mix up very nice comfortable hotel which I would recommend to anyone.
Pros:

I liked the hotel, the food and certainly the location.

Cons:

A mix up with a bill payment which caused some anxiety untill it was sorted then next day whilst travelling home! Quite unsatisfactory. But I'm sure it was a one off and doesn't happen too often.

Comfortable Room
Pros:

Comfortable clean room

Cons:

Evening meal was disappointing

I had traditional Fish(Jumbo… I’d hate to see small one) and Chips

After sending it back because the batter was burnt to a crisp, the next one was as bad. I think the oil used was very old and desperately needed changing. They didn’t charge me for the meal which was a good will gesture.

Would stay again as they did help with the above

Breakfast was good

Would stop again. And maybe try the food next time.
Pros:

Very clean and tidy. Fresh clean look.

Cons:

The only thing I would suggest is maybe USB chargers ports in the room.

And I know it’s stats traditional breakfast. And they don’t normally come with hash brown. But I think they should be on the plate! Just personal preference.

It's a great base to visit the surrounding area. Angela makes a fantastic breakfast. I like that breakfast is served on one spectacular dining table so that all the guests are able to chat together. The room was comfortable.

Excellent value-for-money for an average pub
Pros:

Excellent value for money - £80 for an ensuite double and breakfast for two. Room was clean and comfortable, bathroom was spotless.

Cons:

The room was on the small side, but again for the value can't complain. Pub toilets were not clean.
