Beautiful hotel and gorgeous garden - the best summer place to stay in East Anglia
Pros:

Absolutely gorgeous hotel - the fairy lights at night were magical and the grounds were beautiful. Wished we would be staying longer to use the pool and gardens! The room was so cute and we loved staying. The breakfast was delicious - the best we'd had in AGES, and the dining room was so lovely. You could see how much care has been put into the hotel.

Location was also great for getting in/out of Norwich.

Would love to stay again - sadly unlikely to be back in East Anglia, but we are tempted to make the trip just to come back and stay!

Lovely staff member and pretty garden
Pros:

The breakfast was tasty and nice gardens/ pool. Jill who works there was really lovely and full of little kindnesses that really made our stay

Nice little place, great value
Pros:

Great location. the road can be busy but the rooms are set back, so it wasnt at all noisy. Comfortable bed and they provided a tower fan to help cool the room. Staff were attentive. Great breakfast included in the price. Bonus was the pool - it was very clean and well maintained. You could almost believe you were abroad.

Cons:

The decor could do with updating. Some areas were very tired, but overall had a lovely stay.

Simple, comfortable. Room for much needed elevation within Food & Beverage.
Pros:

Traditional property quietly placed off the main road, unaffected by the noise of traffic.
Classically decorated, very clean and comfortable all round. The addition of a small swimming pool and beautiful garden terrace was lovely, especially when relaxing in the evening with a glass of wine.
Staff unbelievably friendly and helpful. Ted especially, a true asset to the team, doing anything he can to ensure everybody received the best possible experience. As well as, Hayley on the breakfast shift in the morning. Her energy and joyfulness was truly the best way to be greeted in the morning.

Cons:

The food and beverage side of the hotel was a small let down. The evening menu had been reduced (understandably due to the demand) and the options basic. Other guests seemed to be enjoying their evening meals and so I cannot comment further. I decided to venture out, and with the help from Ted I found a lovely eatery just down the road, who the hotel contacted directed and booked for me offering a gracious 20% discount for being a guest.
Breakfast I have to say could have been better. Again, basic offerings but exactly what guests require so can’t exactly fault it. The let down was that despite only offering a couple of cooked breakfast options, the poached egg was extremely overdone and the hash brown soggy. I’d hope to think this was just an off day for the chef and I’d be willing to give it another go. Ultimately it wasn’t the end of the world. I met the chef shortly after and it became evident she was also manning reception and looking after god knows what else. A classic example of a small business saving on staff costs, which to no fault of their own is a real shame. Thank you UK Government for making hospitality so difficult to run nowadays!

A convenient place for our one night to stay but not somewhere we will return to.

Disappointing. One tiny sausage, small
Portions, just average

Cons:

Busy road, bar wasn’t open, no staff around after 8 pm ( we had to go out to find food), barman rolled his eyes when we asked for ice on the drink, no power sockets either side of the bed for charging etc. We had to ask to move rooms as the noise through the doorway into the next room allowed us to hear the neighbours conversations! Also no one to say goodbye to us.

Excellent venue, with the bonus of an outside pool
Pros:

The staff were very welcoming,and the location was ideal especially having the use of the outside swimming pool (ideal after a long journey).The breakfast was lovely ,varied choice of every possible option and the waiting time for the cooked option was minimal.excellent .

Cons:

On arrival we were informed of a 60 children "Proms" event being held at the hotel which was lovely to watch the varied choice of transport used ,but it did mean that any evening meal would have had to been room service.This was not a problem as we chose to eat elswhere however it would have been helpful to have been told of this event when booking as it would have provided us with a choice.This is a lovely hotel and i will definately stay there again... and soon, Thank you very much for a lovely stay

90’s charm
Pros:

Fresh fruit and natural yogurt at breakfast

Cons:

Mistakenly thought I’d be staying in a characterful old rectory .
Pity the pool is not available before 9am as it does not really allow for a morning swim before breakfast and checkout

Very disappointing and would not recommend
Pros:

The garden

Cons:

Very outdated, rubbish shower, only left one towel between 2 people and there was no air conditioning.
The fire alarm went off at 2.30am, there were no staff on site to deal with the problem. All guests were outside the premises until 3.45 am.
