The location is great
Just attention to detail with the cleaning skirting boards etc we’re all quite dusty
The location that's all
The parking was poor because we booked through booking.com, and we were not to receive onsite parking or a permit. Even on times, there was a car space free!!!
We were offered a nearby car park with a 75% discount when we scanned a QR code.
When we departed the car park, no discount was accepted, and we had to pay 75 pounds for 3 nights' stay.

Great to have a proper bar on the premises serving a proper pint not cans of beer that we've had in many other b and b's.
Beds are very comfortable,we had a large room with tea and coffee and ,shower, shampoo and soap cleaner all provided.
Best shower we've had in and b and b. Excellent location near to town and pubs.
Downsides are ;parking,we were lucky to get a spot with permit provided by the hotel although this is the same for all hotels in the area.
We had a large room but our son and partner had a very small room that he said got very hot.
Continental breakfast at extra charge but we had a fry up at Wetherspoon's round the corner.
Overall great place to stay and would definitely visit again.

Location and friendly staff
Bedroom was very tired and didn’t feel clean - stained carpet, dust and biscuit crumbs on windowsill, mouldy slip mat in shower. Room dated and in need of decoration.
Staff very friendly and knowledgeable. Location, fabulous. Room and bedding clean.
Would have been great to have more options available at breakfast, not just continental. The room was clean and comfortable but the carpet looked tired and stained which let it down a little (hence the score of 8).

Very old rooms, could do with freshen up. Carpet so dirty. Window could only open a small amount and it was very hot.

We booked a stay last minute and picked the Alexandra Hotel due to the reviews and the price. The location is excellent, you are right by the beach, entertainment, restaurants and shops, all within a minutes walk. The staff were really friendly and helpful. For the price, it definitely scores a 5* review.
