Location of hotel in Hanoi Old Town.
Staff was very good, especially Ms. My Lee, the customer relation manager. She was very caring, attentive, & had excellent manner. I had stayed here a few times before & she was the reason why I would like to come back to this hotel. Others such as Ms. Quỳnh, front desk receptionist, was very helpful & caring too.
The hotel was old & needs lots of renovations. I stayed at thr executive room in the 7th floor, which was supposed to be the best room of hotel. However, A/c system was not consistent. There were times the room was very cold, but at night it was hot no matter how much temperature I set up. Or the hand-held shower was rusty (could be replaced easily). I had a hard time trying to get the desirable temperature of water (water was either too cold or too hot to the point that I was afraid I might be burnt!

The location of La beaute, is excellent for exploring Hanoi. The room was a good size with a small balcony.
On the second day of our stay, we were leaving or room on the second floor and a rat was outside our room on the landing. We reported it immediately to reception to met with giggles/laughter from the two girls behind reception! On the days following one of the girls asked us to cancel our booking with booking.com in return for a taxi ride to the airport. We didn’t!
Apart from that the rooms are dated , mattress hard and shower/bath difficult to get in and out of. Breakfast limited and street noise in room.
The rooms are very big and have everything I needed, kettle included.

Hotel is located in a quiet alley just off the hustle and bustle. So close to all the food and bars of Beer Street (Ta Hien)

This hotel offers poor value for money. I booked this hotel for my 40th birthday thinking I was booking something more upmarket. Based on the cost ($280 AUD for 3 nights), I would have expected more. Our room was on the 7th floor, but their lift only goes to the 6th. The air con took a long time to cool the room, and the bathroom left a lot to be desired. You had to step into a high walled bath to shower, there were cracks all through the tiles (repaired), and the water took a long time to drain. The TV only had access to YouTube, which was in Russian. I eventually worked out how to log into my account. Even in a $30 per night hotel, I was able to access Netflix. The bed was really hard. I know that is common in Vietnam, but this one was uncomfortably hard. The hotel itself is down an ally that can not be accessed by cars. If you have any mobility issues, this is not the hotel for you.
