Super 8 by Wyndham Carthage TX

Desk chair was leaning /broke on one side and toilet was loose/wobbly. Told front desk upon checkout, she thanked me and said she would have it fixed. Staying again this week, so we will see.

Every thing was good

Breakfast was small affair but waffles were good. Room was decent size, beds a bit firm, pull out bed was pretty worn out. Employees were very friendly.

Staff was wonderful, room was not. Air Conditioner barely worked, room was so humid the sheets felt damp, was very hard to sleep.

Parking was fine. Don't know about the breakfast cause haven't had it. Front desk people are friendly. Haven't had any issues. Not first time to stay at the hotel

DO NOT STAY THERE! I was driving in a tropical storm, and so exhausted that I stopped in to rest and got a room. WHAT A DUMP! I had difficulty opening the door to the room, it took me several tries to get it open. Then when I opened the door, THE AWFUL SMELL! But I was so tired, I brought my stuff in anyway. I tried to take a bath, but the plumbing fixtures didn't work - the bathtub fixture fell off into the bath revealing nasty mold and mildew behind the tub. The toilet was running non-stop. Then I just lied down on the bed to take a much-needed nap, and THE MAINTENANCE MAN BACKED HIS TRUCK INTO A SPACE NEXT TO MY ROOM AND LET HIS OLD TRUCK RELEASE CARBON MONOXIDE FOR 10 TO 15 MINUTES, WHICH CAME INTO MY ROOM (they had left the A/C fan on) I COULD HAVE DIED RIGHT THEN AND THERE! I STARTED TO GET DIZZY AND COULD HARDLY BREATHE. I RAN TO THE OFFICE AND TOLD HER TO COME SEE WHAT'S HAPPENED. I WAS ONLY THERE FOR ABOUT HALF AN HOUR, BUT SHE AND HER MANAGER, HARRY, REFUSED ME A REFUND!!!! THESE PEOPLE ARE THE WORST!

It was warm in the room when we arrived but it did cool down by bed time. There were no cups in the room but I was able to get them from the front desk.

The only other issue is lighting. I am legally blind and the canister lighting, though stylish, is not sufficient. That isn’t anyone’s fault but I want to bring that to your attention.

All in all, it was a great stay

The bed was harder than concrete, the ac hardly worked and most of the breakfast machines were out of order. It was a place to sleep and we were hardly able to do that because of the beds.

Great value. Easy to get into and out of parking lot.

The room was great. Clean, smelled clean, roomy, and all the needs we had were met. I was pleasantly surprised by the Breakfast—more than I hoped for and tasty.

The ladies at the front desk were very nice! The room had a weird smell because it was a smoking room, but it was clean and I will take that over a cologne smell any day. It can be a little difficult to make a smoking room smell brand new again!! All in all I was comfortable and had a good night! Thanks again ladies!!

Room was not in good condition. Smelly, broken sofa, toilet wouldn’t stop running (and they said the couldn’t fix it), cigarette burns. Junked A/C units lying around the property. Should have spent $5 more and stayed at another hotel.

Due to travel delays we arrived late, around 1:30 or 2AM. When we got to the room it was a horrible musty/mildew smell in the room. The water pressure sucked and the reservation was for 4 but only 1 towel. We originally booked for a 2 night stay but around 7:30 AM we tried to checkout and refund the smelt nights stay but they said Expedia wouldn’t let them. I requested they check me out but they refused and gave me a receipt for a 2 night bill. I again requested to be checked out and again they said No. I’m not stupid so I knew their angle was to state that I stayed both nights. I left but called Expedia to complain and they tried to get the hotel to refund one night but they refused. I travel all over the world and I have stayed in third world country hotels that were better than this $h!t Dump. So stay at your own leisure and risk and heed this warning.

Nice clean rooms, comfmy bed, clean linens, friendly and accommodating employees. Check in was quick and easy. Convenient store and Taco place right next door so no need to drive anywhere else. Building and parking lot were clean. Will definitely stay here again!!

Our AC didnt work. The manager came looked at it and got us in another room
Immediately. Very quiet spot. No road noise at all.
