A last minute change of plan when our actually chosen hotel let us down. What a fabulous find. Our room was lovely and the staff were great. We will defiitely be back.

Beautiful area but overall rooms seems a bit outlived
Perfec for what i required, will stay here again
On the whole, place is nice, but the service is a little haphazard: steak was overcooked, when I ordered a glass of red wine, the waiter hesitantly left the whole bottle, the following eveninc I was asked if I wanted ice with it (?). Also the cleaning lady wouldn’t understand I didn’t need cleaning that day and came back three separate times, each time waking me up from much needed sleep (why I had booked myself in to begin with).
Very welcoming reception, a warm place. We also love the view from our room to the pool side .

The place was nice and clean
The hotel says it's 4-star but it's nowhere near that level. It's like an average Holiday Inn - not dirty, but not warm or welcoming beyond the basics. The WiFi is terrible and keeps disconnecting. The staff were incredibly friendly and that made up for the average stay.
Friendly staff. Rooms need renovating. WiFi was unusable - constantly having connection issues and extremely slow when connected. The staff admitted this was an issue. Breakfast was great. The gym has everything you need
We had a drink in the bar before dinner but was not impressed by the standard of cleanliness of the bar. We were told the restaurant opened at 6:30pm, on arrival the restaurant was busy with guests who were dining from a buffet, we assume as we were given no information. No-one greeted us or took us to a table. We waited for a menu and eventually had to ask for ourselves. The quality of the meal we were served was extremely good but the ambience in the restaurant was very poor.
The smart casual dress was not observed by the other diners which was disappointing.

The stay was awesome but was not impressed by your dining experience, one has to beg for food and end up not getting what you asked for, not ayoba, also try and improve on your pools, the beds are not confortable, reception was very kind and welcoming loved their attitude.
Staff very friendly and helpful. The hotel is not a 4 star, but a 3 star. The hotel is a bit outdated. The food at the restaurant is not good. Overall a nice stay, but better options in Magoebaskloof, only 30 minutes from Tzaneen
Located in a good area with beautiful scenery, but unfortunately did not get a chance to fully explore.
All fantastic, with the exception of the restaurant - but they were in the process of hiring a new chef.
very old hotel, towel , bedsheets etc are all braun to cover all the dirty.even after washing if they are dirty you wont notice. kitchen staff wont make the breakfast ready at 6:30, and if you ask them to make an omlet they might say you , they are busy for something else now. :-)) but wont stop chatting to each other much lauter than customers.never go back.

Wifi unstable - had to move rooms as wifi was not working in my room
The staff were really wonderful and very accommodating. We arrived late on both evenings that we stayed over and on both occasions the kitchen staff went out of their way to accommodate us. The room was good and clean. The bathroom was acceptable but the shower was disappointing. Zero pressure. Our only concern was that hotels.com and the lodge had a payment issue so we ended up paying twice.
It was a surprise 60th Birthday aranged by my kids, i had so much FUN
This was our second stay at tzaneen lodge, it is a wonderful oasis with friendly and efficient staff and beautifully laid out grounds and accommodation. The restaurant is very good and the breakfasts are especially good. Highly recommended and excellent value
