Great boutique hotel in the heart of Tarifa's old town. Pastora and Paqui, hosts at the hotel, are always present, smily, to give you tips and anything you need.
Room is small but clean. Door lock is broken so we could not lock from inside.
They put us in a sea view Executive Room on first floor so the view is amazing. I accept the noise from the people and cars on the street as Tangier is a vibrant city. But I absolutely cannot accept the loud music playing from the hotel bar directly below our room all night long.
The loud music woke up us at 11:30pm. I called front desk at midnight and the guy said music will last until 3am and he will tell them to turn down the music. So I tried to be patient as I was on vacation and it is what it is. The music was so loud there is no way I could sleep through that. So 3am came by but there was no sign of the music stopping. Still couldn’t sleep and music finally stopped at 5:30am!
It was actually peaceful and quiet in the morning so I called front desk to see if we could delay check-out to 1pm so we could get a bit more rest. Guy on phone said ok no problem so we went back to sleep after breakfast at 9am but housekeeping knocked and opened our door at 11:30am while we were sleeping and asked if we have checked out yet. Wish they have the act together.
Close to shopping and restaurants. Arrived early, and were shown to our room immediately.
You claimed our room had a balcony. Not true. You claimed our room had air condition, but we never got a remote control, so we had to open the windows to survive, and got bitten by mosquitoes. No fun.
This hotel has a lot going for it - nice location, beautiful inner courtyard, and pretty quiet. That said, there seems to be an issue with the room descriptions and what is actually available. On a trip through Spain with my father, I specially booked a triple room - one described as having a “1 Double Bed and 1 Twin Bed
161-sq-foot (15-sq-meter) room with a balcony”. Upon arrival, I was told I booked a room with a double bed and a child bed (the front desk showed me the booking they received and it appeared to confirm that - despite what my confirmation said). We were given a room wth just a double bed - staff then moved us to a room with a queen bed and a rollaway bed for the first night and a room with two twin beds the second night. I never saw the larger room that I had booked. There were a few other minor annoyances that I generally would have overlooked without the room issue - but overall added to the general dislike of my stay at this hotel.
Great service from Paqui, beautifull room and atmosphere, I strongly recommend the terrase with a magnifique view. A must in Tarifa
Pierre/ Montreal
Very comfortable room, great location just inside walls of old city. Rooftop patio with great views of the city and at night the lights of Morocco. Great staff with enough English to help us with arrangements to Tangier, and to catch a bus to Seville.
Extremely friendly and helpful staff and a cute room. Breakfast (whole fruit and pastry) was convenient but basic. Unfortunately, the internet is weak, the bathroom sink is extremely small, the shower stall leaks onto the bathroom floor and the room was cold (it was February). Staff provided us with a heater and the room was comfortable the second night.
Tarifa im Herbst ist zu empfehlen, nicht so viele Besucher und schönes Wetter.
So close to street could touch passing cars. Horribly noisy, room guite small with few amenities soap, shampoo etc. Issue with AC
Staff friendly and helpful though.
10 minute walk to all.
Experiencia familiar muy positiva.El detalle del desayuno cortesía del hotel es muy positivo.
We unexpectedly got stuck in Tarifa after missing the bus to Sevilla, and quickly scrambled to find a place to stay the night. We're so glad we did because Tarifa is beautiful, and this place was great. The room was small, and all they had left was one with two twin beds, but everything was very clean, modern and comfortable. The whole place is decorated really nicely, and they have a great rooftop terrace from which we could see the lights from Tangier. Carlos, who checked us in was so kind, and offered us tea/coffee/water, and a seat in the lounge upon our arrival, as well as a map with some suggestions for tapas bars and things to see. We would gladly stay here again!
Great!
Booked one night, stayed two, could have stayed much longer. Nice place, nice town, nice people. There is an outside patio area downstairs where you can have a cafe in the morning and a roof deck for views and sun (someone wrote about mattresses being stowed there; I think that is because those are the pads for the deck loungers/chairs, but sometimes it is too windy to put them out). Only about a 10 min walk from bus station and 5 min to ferry. Inside the wall but away from the restaurants, so quiet. What is not to like? Oh, the only thing I personally am not so keen on are the memory foam mattresses (to soft for me) but other than that no problems.
A bit hard to find as it is located in the narrow streets of old town. We had a car and it was a bit of a problem to park. But the service was great and very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. Also the location for getting to the ferry was convenient.
Room Tarifa is located just inside the old wall so it's in a perfect location for the old town bars and an easy walk to the beach too. There's some great restaurants nearby also. The staff are very friendly and there's a wonderful roof terrace with superb views. The only downside was some building works going on across the street so hammering started at 8 a.m. - not sure how many months this may last. Overall though this is a highly recommended hotel.
This hotel was absolutely perfect.. The room was very clean and the hotel was in very good condition. Location couldn't be any better.. Just a five minute walk to the city center and maybe 10 to the water and beach.. There is a great rooftop terrace with beautiful views of the city as well. Reception was very friendly, knowledgable and a great help in planning my activities..
We enjoyed our stay in Room Tarifa. It was quiet and relaxing.
