Large room
Hotel was lovely, old but well looked after.
Staff were fantastic, very welcoming and helpful.
Room was lovely, very clean.
Lovely grounds where we were able to sit and enjoy the lovely weather, have dinner and a few drinks.
Had a great nights sleep after travelling 25 hours from Melbourne, Australia.
Was a bit warm in the room but can't complain as the weather was great. They did provide a fan.
Great hotel
We stay here fairly regularly and it is consistently a wonderful stop on our travels. The rooms are roomy, the beds are comfy and the showers are good. It is a little dated but that adds to the charm.
I would recommend eating in the onsite restaurant as the food is always excellent.
Staff were really helpful and friendly. Comfortable rooms and peaceful location.
Good location
The room was quite small and it hadn’t been cleaned very well on arrival
Well appointed and nicely traditional
Nothing really
Lovely room and great location
Good location
I was woken by a noise in my room just after 3am when I turned on the light and looked there was a mouse in my suitcase
I requested another room
After nearly an hour wait I was told there was none available and nothing they could do
Room was very spacious with comfortable sofa and club chairs
No view of the garden - so not meeting description. Just a view of a wall and noise of fans from kitchen. Also very dark with nets over windows
Good location. Good breakfast.
Booked and paid for a twin, given a double but was too arriving to be able to sort.
The building had a cosy, rustic feel with more contemporary country decor. There were, lots of different areas to eat and chat and good outside space with plenty of seating. The bedrooms were spacious. The staff were welcoming, friendly, polite and attentive despite being down on numbers.
Took a while to adjust to the thermostat taps in the bathroom
