It looked pretty

The building was huge and beautiful
The room was spacious and the interior was very nice and modern I love the wallpaper in the restroom and the mirrors and comfortable bed. Everything was perfect for my stay

We are locals that got displaced due to our neighbor's house catching fire (we live in a row home and took on smoke and water damage). We stayed here for a couple of nights until our insurance company found somewhere for us to rent while we repair our home. The Kimpton staff were so lovely and empathetic to our situation. They even had a goody basket waiting for us on check-in as they knew our situation. We even asked if we could check-in early because we have pets and had nowhere to go for the time being and they told us to come on over.
Our room was clean and spacious with a mini fridge. The bathroom had a nice big countertop to really sprawl out on.
The area is also really nice. This part of the city is super safe and full of history for any tourists reading this.
I would definitely recommend staying here to anyone traveling to Philly or needs a place to stay because of a disaster.

The hotel was fabulous in all aspects! I spoke with Rachel on the phone to advise of a delay in checking in due to my flight and she was amazing, going as far as to leave a "goody bag" in the room for once we were finally able to get there. We also had both breakfast and dinner in the restaurant there, and both Julian and Janae were our servers and exemplary! Last but not least was "Spiderman" in there lobby - very helpful and knowledgeable in answering our questions. A wonderful experience in every aspect!

The bell chimed every hour which made it difficult to sleep.

Staff, location and cleanliness

The Hotel Monaco is a gem. Great location for historical tourism. Hotel itself is extremely well run. Hard to remember better trained staff anywhere - completely missing "attitude". Reception desk is efficient and professional. Rooms are well maintained. Restaurant is well staffed, friendly and attentive.

I had such a fantastic time in Philadelphia because of the amazing team at the Kimpton Hotel Monaco. Roshid, the Hotel Concierge, made sure that my stay at the hotel and my visit to Philadelphia to celebrate a milestone birthday was going to be memorable and wonderful. They made me feel so special with a welcome gift.

I love the Kimpton hotels, and so do my pups, which is why I choose this hotel chain. I have been telling my family and friends about how wonderful my visit to the Hotel Monaco was for celebrating a special occasion. This is the second time I have stayed here with my pups, and they love it too. The staff is so friendly and attentive. The food at the Red Owl was also very good. The hotel location is also very convenient, within walking distance to Old City, Penns Landing, Rittenhouse Square, and the shops along Market Street.

It is close to all the historical sites

We booked the trip on Expedia for my nieces birthday and came to celebrate in Philly, when we got here everyone at the front desk was very nice. We are from out of town and wanted to have a good night in the city, my nieces room was great but mine and my wife’s room we found out that the ac was not working, we let the front desk know and they had someone come to look at it. It was indeed broken however they offered to move us but due to us only staying one night and it being late we just declined and they got us a fan to move the air around in the room, they let us know that they would cover our breakfast this morning at their tavern. The breakfast was amazing and we enjoyed it very much. When we went to check out we found out that they would cover our room as well, the staff was very friendly and atmosphere was amazing, one of the mangers Ashley and Shamera were very friendly and understanding. I highly recommend you come to stay if you are ever in the area.

This hotel is fabulous. Great location. Staff is exceptional, friendly and very helpful. There for our daughters wedding in the city. Clean rooms and quiet at night for sleeping.

My experience was fantastic! This was my first time staying at this hotel and it exceeded my expectations. The room was spacious, clean, and had everything I needed. The service from the staff was top of the line. I’d love to stay here again. Roshid was the concierge that assisted me and he was outstanding.

stayed here two separate times & both times everything was equally exceptional.
The staff are so friendly! Roshid was amazing & so helpful. We received nothing but kindness from everyone we interacted with, from front desk to housekeeping to the restaurant staff.
The building and lobby are absolutely beautiful. The rooms were very clean.
Also, the attached restaurant (Red Own Tavern) is a must stop. Incredible cocktails & food choices. I recommend a Monaco Manhattan & their Savory Mushroom Tart or Burger.

We are having a great stay! Hotel is beautiful and the staff is very friendly and accommodating.
