Beds and rooms were very comfortable, quiet with amazing views
Nil
Beautiful location, helpful staff, comfortable room
All very good
The view .
(1) no assistance with luggage despite 2 young men at reception. I asked for help with my 3 suitcases and they declined and said I had to do it alone. I am 64 and that was an absolute deal breaker. (2) Despite the room being recently refurbished the room had a wet dusty odour . The carpet was the issue and my sinus reacted and I could not sleep. It smelled it was cleaned and did not dry properly thereafter because when we asked to move next room was the same. I suggest you redo it with proper carpet company.
Friendly and helpful staff, room and facility was clean and beautiful the view was amazing.
The hotelroom is in need of an upgrade.I do see that they have begun with upgrade to some of the other rooms
The bedding was very good.
Broken Cubert hinges,broken shower head,
Home away from home. Have stayed at Meerendal numerous times and looking forward to our next stay.
Nothing
Serenity of the surroundings and the spacious room and bathroom.
The cleanliness.
The quality of the bedding.
The complimentary bottle of wine was of great quality.
Proximity to decent restaurants.
When arriving, we were a bit late for check-in, but a gentleman was there to receive us, and he was kind, helpful and professional.
When giving back my key on the last morning (checking out), the reception lady did not even ask me how our stay was.
She was busy with something behind the desk; it looked like she was maybe/ probably on her phone. I thought it was a bit unprofessional.
The Location and spacious room
Reception did not inform us how things work, could not use the TV
The Internet was insufficient was unable to send and receive e-mails
Meerendal do have restaurants on site, we ordered food while working and it arrived cold with plastic cutlery
Overall a disappointment for a Boutique Hotel
The location is superb. The on-site restauarants are fanatstic and the wine farm setting picturesque.
No staff members were available at check-in to receive us.
Initial peace and quiet.
Decor inside cottage lovely
LED lights everywhere
Thick electrical cabling on top of cupboard
Short of towels initally
Microphone? fitted on ceiling fan?
Farm noise ie tractors running on a Sunday
Pesticides being sprayed on vineyards
Really uncomfortable bed pillows.
Bed somewhat knobly and uncomfortable
Complimentary bottle of wine was great!
Room 3 had an issue with the toilet not flushing and the power points did not work.
Wifi could also not be picked up
