To be honest, It is likely that the wind ensures it is never too hot! I loved it.

The management and treatment by management at Coral view resort is very strange. Upon arrival were were inducted in a way that leaves guests feeling tense and uneasy, not warm and inviting. Staff do a great job and should be enjoying their job in paradise although it seems they get told they need to do better without any recognition of their perfectly adequate attentiveness, warm presence and authentic personalities which is the backbone of what makes the experience pleasant. It is clear that the management of the property needs looking at. The compulsory meal plan is weird and communistic, there is no flexibility expect to pay, food is just ok and does not reflect the price. Management have clearly created a structure that is more focused on money making rather than visitor’s experience. They run the Sea Bus, so it is the only boat they recommend except they will be happy to cancel it without informing or have a back up plan that offers reassurance. It would have been nice after a week of relaxing to leave the island peacefully.

Unfortunately the toilet in our room didn’t really flush properly, but other than that I have no other complaints. If you want the airport shuttle however, make sure you got the drivers number because we didn’t get it so we missed out on the shuttle and had to get a taxi. But it was just because of a misunderstanding. The kindness of the staff and the beautiful location made up for it. I definitely recommend staying at coralview.

The price of the room/booking is a bit misleading, since then you have to add a daily fee for food that is 3-4x more expensive than your booking... So in the end, it is WAY more expensive, and the resort is really basic. Also, there is constant wind... because of the orientation of the resort. It is tiring. The food was ok but the portions were the smallest we had in all the places we visited. They always had a vegetarian option, though. They make you pay for the 10min boat ride to the ferry... when you have no other choice than to take it... it was weird to pay extra for this; it should be included in the daily fee package.

La communication pour l’organisation des activités n’était pas la plus fluide.
Si vous êtes végétarien, vous aurez des plats sans protéines ou même sans féculants ou alors faut demander un œuf. Le meal plan est assez cher pour des assiettes pas énormes.
Des geckos vivent dans les toits des bures, nous avons trouvés des petits excréments de geckos dans notre chambre tout au long de notre séjour, et puis ils font un bruit de fou !

Nous avions réservé 5 nuits dans cet établissement, mais nous avons pris la décision de partir dès le lendemain de notre arrivée, après avoir été témoins d’une situation absolument inacceptable.

Dès le premier petit-déjeuner, nous avons découvert, avec plusieurs autres clients, qu’une tortue marine était maintenue captive juste en face de l’hôtel, attachée à l’aide d’un anneau métallique passé dans sa carapace.

Choqués par cette situation, nous sommes immédiatement allés dans l’eau pour tenter de la libérer. La réaction du personnel a été tout simplement sidérante : les membres de l’hôtel nous ont demandé de la laisser attachée, en nous expliquant qu’elle était là pour « le show », afin que les clients puissent observer une tortue marine depuis l’établissement.

Le personnel nous a également confirmé que la tortue avait été capturée volontairement dans le but de satisfaire les clients, notamment les enfants.

Face à cette cruauté envers un animal sauvage, nous avons décidé de la détacher et de la relâcher, puis de quitter immédiatement l’établissement. Il est particulièrement révoltant de constater qu’un animal marin sauvage puisse être traité de cette manière à des fins de divertissement touristique, alors que les tortues marines sont des espèces protégées aux Fidji.

Nous ne cautionnons absolument pas ce type de pratique et nous estimons que les voyageurs devraient être informés de ce qui se passe réellement au sein de cet établissement.

Malheureusement, la nourriture était également très décevante, avec une qualité médiocre et des portions particulièrement petites.

Enfin, nous avions payé pour 5 nuits, mais nous n’en avons passé qu’une seule sur place. Depuis notre départ, nous nous battons pour obtenir le remboursement des nuits non consommées. Cela fait maintenant 15 jours que nous effectuons des démarches pour récupérer notre argent, ce qui ajoute encore à cette expérience extrêmement décevante.

Manca un po' di spiaggia.

Food - very high prices for not great quality. Appreciate the remote Islands and limited choice but price an issue.
Some staff a bit grumpy/disengaged.
Very windy while there and no customer service encouraging options to go to sheltered areas.

I’m a happy customer overall, but I’ve had some bad experiences here, and this is the first time I’ve ever felt the need to leave a review like this.

1. A staff member opened my room door at 1 a.m.

One night, a male staff member (a Fijian guy) opened the door to my dorm room at around 1 a.m. I was the only person staying in the room at the time, so it was absolutely terrifying.

The next day, I complained to another staff member. He explained that the man was a security guard who had heard screaming from my room and came to check on me. However, I found the situation very frightening, especially because no one had explained anything to me at the time. I believe staff should handle situations like this in a way that makes guests feel safe rather than scared.

2. Inappropriate conversations with staff

Another male staff member talked to me about his sexual relationships over the past ten years, including relationships with both local women and tourists. I found this conversation inappropriate and uncomfortable, especially given that I was a guest staying at the property.

After the incident in the middle of the night, this made me feel even more uncomfortable and unsafe at the accommodation.

3. Manta ray snorkeling tour

I also had a concerning experience during the manta ray snorkeling tour. At one point, the guide disappeared while six guests were snorkeling, and we ended up searching for him in the ocean.

Later, he told us that we should have been snorkeling near the coral garden. However, I couldn’t find him on the boat or in the water. It turned out that he was on a nearby island taking care of his own personal business.

I found this extremely concerning because a snorkeling guide should be responsible for the safety of the guests, especially when we are out in the ocean.

I understand that unexpected situations can happen, and I have generally enjoyed my stay.

Food was alright but considering you are on an island in the middle of nowhere it’s pretty good. Toilet joining the room meant the room was slightly smelly at times but had windows for ventilation.

No beach in front of the resort. Food a kittle overpriced for what you get. Highest surcharge for card payment out of all of the islands.

Cold water showers and cold ocean waters left us chilly at times but a very small price to pay for absolute paradise. Plus the cold water is good for the reef so next time I would consider bringing a wetsuit to maximize underwater time. Also we would encourage guests to avoid feeding the fish as it is harmful to the marine environment.

The food was a huge miss for a vegetarian, no protein at all. I had mentioned my diet multiple times and I still got served meat three times.
Usually I waited for my plate 30-40min.

We didn't realise that there was no hot water which was a bit cool in winter but managed ok. Meals which cost extra were average and smallish portions.
