Ahdoos Hotel

I travel for work so spend about 250 days a year in a hotel. This trip was a personal trip and as a regular user of hotels.com I just made the booking after seeing some reviews and YouTube vlogs of this place.

I rarely write reviews, mostly when things are above and beyond or if they are outright unfair.

For this hotel I would say that it was later, things were completely off the hook. I do read the fine print while making the reservation and made sure what the room had before making the booking.
Upon arrival, the property is well known and well located if you want to be in the city. Has good security, and an amazing restaurant with really courteous staff but the hotel staff is different.
I read a review about how everyone would chase you tips and did find that to be case right from the arrival. The staff at the front desk aren’t really that great and the room was off from the fine prints that I had read. When I discussed the same with front desk, I was told that this is what the reservation they have received and there was not discussion. It was a little but like door slammed on your face especially when you travel as much as I do it is really unnerving. The Superior Rooms has no AC not matter what the webpage says and is not a good choice when you are going in summers or winters. If you wish to stay for more than a night, I would look for more options as there are many at this price point.
The first two hour was sufficient to know that the vlogs were cosmetic.

Ahdoos is situated on market. Many good Cafe and Restaurants are nearby. It also has a very good restaurant. Very clean and spacious rooms. Staff is very polite and humble. Overall very good experience. I strongly recommend this hotel.

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Location is extremely central in downtown. Rooms are newly renovated and comfortable. Service is excellent and friendly. The food is incredible - best in Srinagar! The bakery downstairs is also amazing. The only negative is the non-existent parking. A few more positives: they provide a full bed heated blanket which is very comfortable, the non-AC rooms come with a small heater, the matresses are very thick and comfortable, the bathroom is spotlessly clean, and the water is hot 24/7 (no need to turn on a geyser in the room; only downside is that it takes 30 seconds for the hot water to reach the room). They provide a kettle, complimentary teas, and two daily water bottles. TV works fine, but we only turned on the news briefly so did not check out much. Hope this helps someone make an informed decision.

The hotel itself was nice but we didn’t have a warm experience. We checked in late and took 2 extra hours to check out but it caused a bit of tension. The staff was individually very nice to us.

The stay was nice but the worst part is that they have mentioned that it is wi-fi and it is free but the fact is that they have just mentioned about wi-fi and it NEVER WORKS. It is just to attract people and then to DISAPPOINT them.
