Pros:

A really nice place in a quiet part of the city. Very friendly manager, clean rooms, big enough for 4 people. The part that really surprised us with how clean and neat and tidy they keep it. Because for us, it was only a pit stop in our road trip. Located next door to a convenient store that pretty much had very good grab and go breakfast. Our flight was very delayed and we were really worried about losing the room, but the person emailing us kept in touch and kept the place ready, and the key ready for us for a quick check in which made all the difference. Congratulations for a good job.

Pros:

Ottima posizione: 15 min a piedi per Puerta del Sol, 1 min a piedi per la stazione metro Lavapiés.
Camera grande e pulitissima, colazione "basica" dolce/salato.
Staff gentilissimo e disponibile, mi hanno consigliato ottimi ristoranti in zona.

Cons:

Lavapiés è un quartiere multietnico super frequentato, qualche vicolo per raggiungerlo (provenendo dal centro) meglio evitarlo, preferire le strade con più locali e turisti.

Well located hotel with excellent staff
Pros:

From start to finish was a good experience at the Artrip. I had some questions before I arrived in Madrid and they were promptly and kindly answered by email. On my arrival, Sergio helped me out by giving me a good restaurant recommendations for the neighbourhood and he also lent me a rechargeable card for public transportation which saved me a lot of hassle at the station. The location is perfect for discovering this. It’s close to 2 Metro stations and a 10 minute walk from the massive train station called Atocha. As a person who is pretty sensitive to noise, I was happy to be at the Artrip. Of course it is located in the city and so obviously there is some noise coming from the outside. My A/C room was clean and comfortable. They provided drinking water and some black tea. I did not take breakfast at the hotel. Nuria was another delightful employee:) I will definitely return next time I’m in Madrid.

Friendly, stylish hotel in local neighbourhood near the Reina Sofia museum.
Pros:

Very friendly, comfortable hotel within walking distance of Atocha station. .Staff were super helpful. Rooms very clean

It is located in a local neighbourhood with lots of street life. We enjoyed sitting outside the local bars on the Calle Lavapies in the evening.
