Great place to stay
Pros:

Great location with free and very convenient shuttle service to Lake Louise Skiing. Restaurant options were limited but Bill Peyton’s at the Hostel was a good choice!

Great base for skiing at Lake Louise.
Pros:

The sauna and spa were great after a day skiing. The breakfast was good and had a good selection. Cereals, fruit, waffles, eggs, bacon etc

Cons:

The carpark was pretty slippery, although it was very cold during our visit.

Das funktionell eingerichtete Zimmer im Hauptgebäude war zum Highway hin ausgerichtet und sehr ruhig. Sehr nettes, professionelles Team am Empfang. Ganztags Getränke verfügbar. Ansonsten hat wirklich fast alles gepasst...

Cons:

Das Zimmer war nicht wirklich sauber. Die Matratzen sollten getauscht werden; das Bett war sehr weich.

Pleasant Stay in Lake Louise
Pros:

We enjoyed our 7-night stay at Mountaineer Lodge in Lake Louise. My daughter and I came for skiing and Mountaineer Lodge was a good choice. The shuttle bus stop is in front of the reception, just few steps from the rooms and it is the last stop before heading to the skiing resort.
The staff at the reception is very friendly, polite and helpful.
The room was clean and newly, modern decorated, with enough storage for our belongings and luggage. The breakfast is excellent, there is a wide selection of food (eggs, bacon, sausages, avocado, cold cuts. cheese, smoked salmon, yoghourt, milk, pastries, fruits, ...).
There is a hot tub and steam room in the main building. We used them few times after skiing.
The location is great, within walking distance from the Visitor Centre, Samson Mall, restaurants.
We were very happy with our stay at Mountaineer Lodge. Very good value for the money. I highly recommend it.

Another excellent stay for skiing

This was my third year staying at the Mountaineer Lodge for skiing. The rooms are well equipped. The staff is friendly and helpful. The shuttle for Lake Louise Ski Resort stops at the door.
