Loved the view we had from our room. The hotel is quiet and away from any crowds. The restaurant was very good. The staff very nice and helpful for anything we needed.
Nothing! It was absolutely perfect!
Läget helt otroligt! Utsikt över bukten i Monterosso.
Personalen behöver ha mer koll på
läget och va lite trevligare. Repetionen var trevliga och hjälpsamma!
It’s position. It has a beautiful view .
It needs modernising
Jättefint poolområde.
Grym uppförsbacke till hotellet. Typ 45 graders lutning. Och väldigt dyrt.
The location was great , overseeing the town of Monterosso, beautiful views. Room was large and the balcony was fantastic.
Nothing really
The property is absolutely awesome. My only issue was that nobody seemed to take us seriously about a non working A/C in our room.
Hotel Porto Roca is an absolute standout. This beautiful 44-room hotel sits high above the coastline, offering a full panoramic view of the Mediterranean Sea that’s hard to beat.
One of the things that really sets it apart is how easy they make everything. The shuttle service runs you up and down the hill to the town square quickly and reliably—you can just pick up a phone or walk to the front desk, and they’ll have you on your way in no time.
We ate at the restaurant on our first night, and it was top-tier across the board. From the wine selection to the four-course meal and dessert, everything was executed with true five-star service. It set the tone for the whole stay.
Breakfast is included, and it’s not your typical spread—it’s a full buffet with just about anything you could want. The cappuccinos alone are worth getting out of bed for.
The infinity pool area is another highlight. It’s surrounded by multi-level loungers and offers bar service, making it a perfect place to relax and take in the view. On top of that, they have an agreement with the beach at the bottom of the hill, where umbrellas and loungers are available starting June 1 to kick off the summer season.
If you’re looking for a place that combines incredible views with excellent service and attention to detail, Hotel Porto Roca absolutely delivers.
This hotel is lovely, situated up the hill from the town, overlooking the sea. The room was lovely with a balcony. We had some trouble with the heating system in our room so not sure what it would be like in the height of the summer. we solved it by opening all doors but took a little time for the room to cool down.
Beautiful dining with breathtaking vistas. Pool area is lovely with a hottub and lounge chairs.
Would recommend this hotel and Monterosso of all of the towns.. The walk up to the hotel is a little challenging after a long day of walking/hiking in the towns so make sure you organize for their little car to collect you at the bottom of the hill if you are not up for the climb!!
Located on hillside overlooking Monterosso and Mediterranean Sea. You can walk to hotel from train station but last 5 minutes is up a steep hill. Hotel provides van service up to hotel if needed. Staff and restaurants, both bar and dining room, are excellent. If you don’t do international cell service, know where you are going beforehand. Overall, excellent hotel!

Best experience in Italy! Specially in the restaurant La Terazza in the Hotel with the best Team, the Venezuelan brothers (Albert & Nicole) give us the warmest and cozy experience
Beautiful hotel. The pool
Area is gorgeous with good bar service. The shuttle drivers are always on call to get up and down. Rooms are small but nice. Breakfast has every option you can think of. Beautiful view!
We stayed three nights in mid-April 2026. The hotel accommodations were excellent - try to get Room 509 - a small suite - right on the water - with amazing views. The food and wine were great in all the dining areas. Best was the staff who were uniformly friendly and helpful….especially Nicola and Sara. Very highly recommend this hotel.
Regarding Cinque Terre - very scenic as advertised. Tons of steps up and down the hills - you need to be fit and prepared for this. The towns themselves are a bit on the dingy side - but ok for a couple of days.
The property was a dream - fantastic location with the beautiful view and pool / lounge areas. The shuttle service, housekeeping & all around staff were very nice. Enjoyed the access to blue trail!
PORTO ROCA exceeded our expectations and gave us the best view in Monterosso. The heated pool and hot tub gave us a wonderful respite from hiking and exploring. We would definitely return!
My wife and I stayed at Hotel Porto Roca during our honeymoon in early April 2026, and the property exceeded our expectations in almost every way.
First, the context: we arrived in Monterosso after an emergency loss of our original lodging reservation, and the Porto Roca team took us in quickly and graciously. That kind of flexibility during a stressful moment set the tone for our stay and we won't forget it.
The location is sublime — there's really no other word for it. Perched on the cliff above Monterosso, the views of the Ligurian coastline are the kind that make you stop mid-conversation and just stare. The infinity pool overlooking the Mediterranean is worth the trip alone. The shuttle service up and down the steep, rocky path to the village was a huge bonus and one we used constantly — without it, the uphill climb would be a real challenge, especially after a full day of hiking the Cinque Terre trails.
The room was comfortable, the restaurant terrace was a beautiful setting for dinner, and the overall atmosphere felt like a private seaside villa rather than a hotel.
One note I want to share honestly, because I think it matters: as a Korean American, I occasionally noticed subtle differences in how I was received by certain staff compared to white-presenting guests — nothing overt or hostile, more in the realm of tone, body language, or who got acknowledged first in a shared space. It wasn't the kind of thing that ruined a moment, and I don't believe it was intentional. But as a person of color traveling in Europe, these small signals accumulate, and they're worth naming — not as an indictment of the hotel, but as something I'd love to see the hospitality industry become more aware of. It's the kind of thing that separates a great stay from a truly welcoming one.
That said, I want to be clear: this is a wonderful property, and our overall experience was very positive. The Porto Roca came through for us at a difficult moment, the setting is world-class, and I would recommend it to anyone visiting Cinque Terre. I just hope that all guests — regardless of how they look — get to feel equally at home here.
The perfect last night dinner in Cinque Terre! Perfectly hosted by Nicola (now called cola zero). Giuseppe made the worlds best Crêpes Suzette. We cant wait to come back.
